It is aluminum. Kenny these winch's are great and just like all military stuff these are way underrated. I don't think you will unsatisfied if you decided to use them

This is the fix for gate not going all the way down.

With the new winch install could not let my gate all the way down so I remembered I had this aluminum channel and I beam so I built a ladder.
