I think I saw your design in another thread. I am not sure you are aware that the holes that hold the mud flaps on the M931 are not there on all M931 nor on the M923 trucks. I had to add the holes and the mud flap mount brackets on my M931.
Here is an updated drawing in which i added a back...
Thank you. Depends on you definition of permanent. It will be bolted on. So it is possible to remove it. Basically no different than any other bolted on Class III or Class V hitch receiver. I am working with another member on this so the final design may vary a bit. I think i need to add a...
Here is a sketch for a hitch assembly for my M923 truck that I came up with. It utilizes 8 existing bolts already on the cross-member of the truck (2 bumperett bolts and 2 bolts under the cross-member on each side of the pintle mount). It is designed to fit around the existing Pintle mount.

Just when you think the truck project is done something else comes along. Looks like i will be adding a custom trailer hitch to the truck. I had to rent a trailer the other day to move my 5000# Kabota tractor to my other property to clean of 30 yards of trash and debris left by the previous...
Had a little time today so we installed the hardtop on the truck. All went pretty smooth and the door glass seems to line up fairly well. The top did not come with the J-bolts (idiots burned them off when they removed them from the truck). I went to the local hardware store and got some 5/16"...
Thanks for the correction. So I guess I will have to set up all the batteries in 24 Volt groups and use a battery equalizer or inverter to get 12 volts out for the camper.
Easy problem to fix. I had the same thing on mine. **** mud bugs plugged the vent tube at the top of the intake stack. Used a drill bit spun by hand to break up the blockage. You can also remove the 2 vent tubes from the top of the fuel tank and see if they are clogged. Two 1/4" tubes going...
The only problem is that the wheel-weals on the M109 box would not line up with the rear axles. The M109 box has a floor joist that goes all the way to the side of the truck right between the two axles. To match that on the 5 ton i would end up with 1 foot on each end of the M109 box. I will...
