$500-550 for those M101A2s is cheap. I wanted one, too, but I could not pull the trigger...too many green-iron purchases this past year (and possibly one going down for me this weekend...another $15K out the window).
If you got the truck from GL, you may be eligible to back out of the auction if you can prove that parts were taken after the pics were taken. They will NOT compensate you, though. I've tried. They agreed I had a valid claim but were only willing to let me back out of the sale. I had over...
I had an M313 and I don't believe they ever had a pintle hitch in the rear. I suppose you could mount one, though. I liked my trailer, but many of them have water damage where the sides were not (or could not be) properly shut. That was the case with my old trailer.
As far as I know, there are two different types of heaters...hot water heaters and fuel burning heaters. I am not sure of this, but I bet there were different models with slightly different ratings, too. As I said, I'm not sure of this, though. I believe both the hot water and fuel burning...
I have a suggestion...since you are selling the trucks for what you have in them, why not ask the buyer(s) to bear the responsibility of removing them from the GL location? No sense in incurring more costs to get the trucks shipped out. Have the buyer deal with that task.
Snakeater, that is the type of bargain I was initially referring to. You stole that truck. You have about $1,500 in rubber alone on that truck when you factor in mounting.
As others have said, insurance and tags are a must. I would suggest you get it hauled. 200 miles at the current rates (no more than $2/mile) translates to about $400. That is small change for the peace of mind. If something goes wrong, you will have wished you got the truck hauled. Better...
I in no way meant any disrespect to you or your truck. If you took it that way, I am sorry. My post was meant to make a point...get a title and then try to sell your truck because you are spinning your wheels by trying to offer it at a retail price (even if it is on the low side of retail)...
SEPHIROTHQ: I honestly meant no offense. If someone tells me a truck has no title, its value drops in my eyes. I would consider a truck with no title, and have bought them in the past, but the price better be darn cheap or the truck better be rare. Neither of these things applies to your...
The title is the biggest thing holding down the value on your truck. yeah, there are ways to get a vehicle title...but nothing beats getting a title with a truck. That, in and of itself, will hold down the value on a truck. I am by no means an authority, but I would much rather pay $3,800 for...
I want to preface this post by saying that MADDAWG (Mike) does not know I am about to post this and I am not going to profit at all from this post. There are a lot of guys who are looking at GL for their first deuce. Man, there are quite a few for sale from private dealers that have been gone...
