I do not like the single pivot point of the top holder. It could rotate from vibrations and short the top terminal. I would add a perpendicular flat metal on eacc end that would be an upside-down u to go down a little on both sides of the battery.

You can buy a Class 5 hitch on Amazon.com that is already set to the 34" frame spread. I did that on my M109A2. The bolt holes centered on the frame. 6 holes later I had the hitch installed. It is included in my thread on my M109 Restore project.
I would have put a 3/8" triangle plate from the receiver tube all the way up to the top of your plate or welded some 3/8" x 2" flat iron on both sides of that front plate to stiffen it up - since it is so tall.
Most trailer dealers sell these as parts. I know Franklin Trailer in NJ sold all kinds of trailer receivers and parts as well as trailer lights , brakes, axles etc. There should be some trailer dealers in Florida.

I used Vasoline to do the same thing as that liquid. i used a cheap disposable brush to apply the Vasoine. After the paint fired real good I used some paint thinner to remove the residue.
Works great on small diameter tractor mower wheels.2cents
