How good is a deuce really in the mud?

I don't have a smart phone but usually the person that posts like that will say it is because it is too hard to punctuate on a smart phone. I do not text for that very reason, it is a PIA to punctuate so I do not text. Period. I am glad you pointed out that it is not the phone but the operator...

    Action shots

OK, You have a deuce with street tires out in a bottomless mud pit. I can understand that:whistle:. You are on a 45 degree angle and ready to go over and you have people in the back of the truck. That is downright stupidity! Those pictures right there are the main reason they will eventually be...

Moss covered M1009 followed me home.

With a scrap title you can do nothing but part it out.

How good is a deuce really in the mud?

Am I the only person that has trouble reading that? Smart phones are not real smart if you cannot punctuate with them. Those videos tell me that the person driving does not care about the truck. Would have been real interesting if he had snagged that loose winch chain on the front wheel. Rick

As am I, I know Cabell said he was getting a disc but I don't know if that happened. I usually take a ton of pic's but I dropped the ball this year. Rick

m1009 injection pump. who knows them

Make sure you have fuel coming through the fuel filter and also make sure the return line is clear and flowing. If the return line is blocked it will not start.

    But clenching ride home

Glad to see it all worked out in the end. It never seems to work right on the first try on the side of the road does it? Hopefullymy tools list was accurate enough, I was tired last night and it has been a while since I did one. Rick

    But clenching ride home

Make sure you get yourself a wheel bearing socket for that vehicle, same as the civilian one. Has four tits on it. Allen wrench kit for the locking hub cover, External snap ring pliers for the axle snap ring, real thin screwdriver and a medium/small screwdriver for the large internal ring in the...

    M1009 won't start, Marietta.(tuesday morning)

OK, I read your post again as you asked, and I quote " the meter is on the white line between the yellow and the red". That sir is not enough to turn the starter. It will be enough to close the relay. Then you say you jumped it with a Dodge Stratus which is 12 volt. You need 24 volts to start...

    M1009 won't start, Marietta.(tuesday morning)

The indication you are giving from the voltmeter would say a bad battery. What did you jump it with? Is this still 24 volt?

If political discussion is not allowed, why are political ads accepted?

:ditto: to the sigline. I never even looked at the ads, Real effective aren't they? Rick

    24VDC power steering m35a2

True on the rating but that is on the joint itself not the bolt going through it. Most heim joints would be anchored on both sides where you are anchored on one. Good point on the assist ram though, had not thought of that. I would guess the steering box is a GM setup and power for that and the...

Has anyone bought an M1009 that doesn't start?

I was told "started with jump". Well, I got it started after a lot of trying and it blew the radiator cap right off the radiator! Number 8 cylinder was cracked from top to bottom. Had frozen at some time or another. Needless to say you cannot believe what they say in the ad either. I can...

    24VDC power steering m35a2

That is a clean looking setup. I like the overall layout but not crazy about the Heim joints. There is a lot of shear load on them in that configuration. If any one of them breaks you are history. Rick

    Snafu, good one.

If he is cutting corn he is safe but if he is cutting soybeans then you probably do not want to ask for it back! Especially if he catches it lip first.:-P Rick

    Snafu, good one.

Considering the drum is bell shaped it would have made a left turn immediately upon hitting the ground and then probably tumbled from the forward momentum. I would look not too far from the point of departure and not too far off the left side of the road assuming the road is fairly level. You...
