As was already mentioned, NO. They are illegal and for good reason. Lift blocks are not designed for lateral strength. They will roll right out on a hard turn. Your buddy has been VERY, VERY lucky. When it happens, and it will, he WILL crash. Just hope no one else is involved.

You have a fairly rare version of the Ford built A2 with the straight cut front fenders. This was before the military decided to change the design which was done by Ford before AMG took over. There was a very short span that these were made with that fender style. Yes it is a 1970.
