Used the M101A2 to haul some gravel.
This trailer has the heavy spring kit installed.
Had 1.6 ton of gravel in it and it still wasn’t touching the bump stops.
Lousy pic and trailers almost empty when taken, but it did much better than expected over rough roads.
Surge brakes worked great and...
The M105A2 is a big, heavy trailer.
Add no brakes and a heavy generator and you have a very bad day waiting to happen.
Very smart move realizing it was too much for your truck and getting rid of it.
You definitely scored with the solid wheels on the new trailer.
A lot of shops will not...
That is much better and also has the solid steel wheels.
No lock ring to deal with.
What are your plans for the generator?
That's a lot of generator for single home use.
MC-2A
Adjusted engine RPM and torqued down the nut.
Then I safety wired it for security.
Installed two new air filters.
One for engine and other is for compressor.
(Ordered Wix part number and these were in Wix boxes)
Not sure what went in hole by rpm adjustment knob.
The manuals do not...
MC-2A
Installed parts yesterday and it was interesting.
How this broke is a mystery. Looks like it ran quite a bit afterwards
When installing new screw, discovered that the governor arm was bent. It would not line up properly. Pair of pliers fixed that.
Actually I think I bent it when I...
Nicely done!!
That color looks great and the Stenciling is a very nice touch.
That’s one of the best looking setups I’ve seen.
Where did you put the cabinet for all the spare parts you’ll need? Grin
New parts FINALLY arrived.
A new Governor adjustment screw and crankcase breather gasket.
Still no service manuals …….so does anyone have the procedure on how to adjust it?
Or pictures?
Installing will be easy but I don’t know how far to screw the screw in to the pump rack.
The other unit is...
7MC-2A
The new breather tube didn’t make a difference at all on the blow by.
Will continue to use the tea bottle trick instead of tearing into it for that oring replacement.
Unit runs fantastic and starts right up
Pressure is great and is plenty for what I need.
Voltage is still doing great...
Which one did you get?
The 7MC-2A is the newer version and a lot less complicated.
Using mine for all sorts of projects
The Deutz engine parts on the MC-2A are slow in coming but still available.
They should be here the 15th or so.
Looking at your pictures, you've done quite a bit.
When you mounted your Jerry cans and Jack, did you use a backing plate for the bolts? Or just the metal of the trailer?
Where those are mounted, they will be taking quite a beating, vibration wise.
Metal Fatigue will be a factor unless the...
These things vibrate a LOT, so I would check to see if you might have wire chaffing issues.
I found one wire on mine in the control panel that was chaffing badly and caught it and fixed it before an issue appeared.
I would not recommend a circuit breaker. The charging system was not designed for...
The stock setup works very well and is very reliable when taken care of.
Spend the time and money now and it will payoff several fold later.
Push buttons/card deletes/bypasses/ conversions are fine if that is what the owner chooses, but the stock system does the job very well. It is what it...
