Don't forget the 1928A1 Thompson, with Cutts Compensator, Finned Barrel, and Lyman rear sight. Just like the one Sgt. Chip Saunders carried, a Hero of my youth.
Chris, it was down to the Harley 45 and the M151. I've never had an M151, and Bill has one of the nicest ones I recall seeing. But I went with my heart and tossed the 45 my vote. 🍺 Cheers!
NDT, no I do not, that is probably what's causing my problem. I'm not a jeep guy, but I'm quickly becoming familiar on all the ins and outs. I'll get on the phone and order one tomorrow. I understand Peter De Bella is a good source for jeep parts. Thank You!!
Guy thanks for the info, it all makes a little more sense. Here's a couple pics of 2 exterior areas that have been sealed. I'll take a look at the interior tomorrow.
I purchased a 1953 M38A1 awhile back. It had a Carter YF carburetor when I purchased it, the YF is standard on commercial jeep F head engines. My YF leaked a little, and ran a little rough. So I found a Carter YS 950 at one of the California meets, and had it rebuilt by a competent carb shop. So...
Chris, I love Harley-Davidson flat heads. In the mid 90s I put quite a few miles on a friend of mines immaculate 1947 UL 80ci flattie. The bike ended up being exported to Japan. The Japanese made a 74ci Harley VL flathead under license called the Rikuo. They were copied bolt for bolt, and built...
Robo I agree. dmetalmiki, can you post some pics of your M62 Wrecker Truck. We would like to see some pics since the restoration. Many of us haven't voted.
Well here we are, once you get past the curtains and partition you have a room with a false floor and what looks like a small table, I don't know what exactly this shelter was being used for, but they didn't leave much behind, the rest of the interior is std. S-250 shelter. This one is cleaner...
rujimbob I agree, Big Mikes is a good business to work with. If you haven't already, you might check Big Mikes selection of speedometer drives for oversized tires. Helps keep the old speedo accurate. Tooele did the rebuild on the LDT in my M35A2C back in 1992, she's still running strong.
Washed the old girl off, painted the rims, and used Mothers Tire Restorer to bring back the tire color. I still have paint work to do along with getting a truck cover to keep the paint from fading.
