I agree with @papakb . The wiring from the factory is all one color - and neither of those colors are red or blue. Follow the wire to its source and chances are you can pull it out. MAKE SURE that it doesn't have power on it befor you start pulling and tugging on it.
As far as the lights...

Yep. There are guys here with skills and there might even be a better body you could find with a little searching. @cucvrus might be a good source or a good contact for some of what you need.

This kit is really amazing. Good quality stuff too - and the drill guides keep you centered on the thing you are drilling - rather than chewing up your good threads!

Wow!! That is pretty amazing! Yeah, the one at the monument place has a 1" hose feeding it and that volume of air is pretty amazing compared to my toy blaster

Like @GeneralDisorder said, pull it and fix it. LocTite is your friend. OR check it after you fix it - then after every third or so crankings - check it again.
Keeping your starter working and not having to buy a new one is a lot like a wife. If you call a starter a girl or give it a...

It really is amazing to watch somebody with skills and a hammer do the job. It isn't how hard you hit that tire - its more about where - and letting the soap do its job to slide that duckbill up into the crack that it creates.

Hi David,
Yes and No? Maybe?
I think what you need is to buy yourself a fuel filter and a fuel filter housing. The housing is the gizmo that you screw the filter on to. What I am trying to get you to do is create a loop. That loop is an intake line (with a weight on the hose) in the...

What you have to do is "break the bead" off both sides of the rim. Tire shops (for cars) do that easily with a tire machine. One breaker on the bottom and another on the top with everything held in place through the center hole on the rim. Those machines are too small for big truck tires...

The crummy part is that you have to get rid of whatever crud is in the tank. The idea of "fuel polishing" could cost you a hundred and a half for a pump and filter housing. Truck sits still, doesn't use any fuel, and in several hours, the fuel in your tank will be clean. Maybe not. You...

You are in a different state - but here - the local State Farm or the local Farm Bureau will write a policy for less money than that. Having said that, my State Farm agent (that already had my personal vehicles for the last 20 years) said no.
I plugged in state farm and my zip code...

I'm sure that part of the project being complete feels really good...
I couldn't afford a building large enough, but up the road from us is a monument shop. They use the rubber mats and "engrave" granite tombstones in a building with a MONSTER sandblasting setup. The larger nozzle is...

It might be that a fuel filter housing and a pump just filtering that fuel in the tank would let you clean up what is in the tank without breaking the bank.
I found a DIY version of fuel polishing. A set of simple instructions are here. Maybe give this a look and see what it might do for...

I couldn't decide... Happy for you that your truck did well and held up well, but a chinese block. Dang that's sad.
I have wondered how things will go when this country has outsourced almost everything. Might be that the day will come when we decide that somebody needs a military beating...

The "see also" part is the positive terminal. These terminals will carry more amperage. This picture doesn't really show how much more "beefy" than the standard commercial part is...
.
What you have is better than nothing, but that cable is a smaller diameter than the "factory" cable that belongs on that truck. I had a reliability (not charging very well) problem with one of my LMTV trucks and smaller cables. Replacing that smaller "parts house" cable with big fat juicy...
.
Agreed. Especially with automobiles, light trucks, and vans. I worked for a tire company on Saturdays for several years. The guy who owned the place made a point of making sure that I understood not to "beat the lugnuts to death" when I first started. There were even some customers that...

Welcome to the Outfit!
Snap up a few more pictures when you get a chance... We are picture hounds here for sure. Looks like you have a nice looking Deuce. Don't hesitate to go visit the Technical Manuals section. Grab a copy of the Lubrication Order that will point out what oil and grease...

Strangely enough, the M1089 Wrecker has a yellow button on the dash for the two flashing yellow lights mounted behind the cab.
Just like the backup alarm you have mentioned - those yellow lights - with their own independent light switch DO NOT work without the white lights being in the...
