What most of us do is take caliper diameter measurements of the oil seal bore and shaft ride surface and go to our local bearing supply house and let them figure it out.
Welcome. PLEASE dont buy a toyota. I would disconnect the drag link and see if it's the steering box binding or the axle king pin bearings. Then whichever will need disassembly and lubrication. Should steer fairly easily.
Did you call White Owl Parts? Sam Winer Motors? Lotsa parts available for these engines. Problem is nobody sells very many of them so they are typically not advertised.
Yes, if your truck has the heavy channel with loops right behind the cab, it has been converted into a shelter carrier. Shelters look cool but they make the truck a bit top heavy and create a lot of wind drag. Also, troop seats and shelter brackets are mutually exclusive accessories.

Your truck was not a shelter carrier and is not set up with shelter tiedowns.
FMTVs are like any other full time all wheel drive truck. Unless the transfer is in High Lock (Mode), if any one wheel or axle does not have traction, you are not moving. Same as HMMWV, M880.
Great job with fixing the Allison!! That tells me you will be able to solve all the other...
Glad they could help you! In Galveston make sure to see Seawolf Park, Tall Ship Elissa, the Ocean Star oil rig, Strand district; Sunflower Cafe and Gaido's for great eats.
It could be that the reason you blew a u-joint is because you were driving on hard surface in mode. If your truck is stuck in mode, I would suspect the keypad has water intrusion.
For your pan hole, I would make a patch using a square of aluminum from a coke can and JB weld it in place.
Great! This is an excellent reference thread for the proper equipment to transport M1079 trucks. Search terms RGN, removable gooseneck, detachable gooseneck, double drop trailer.
I would head straight to the alternator, if there is 24 volts present on the battery lead and excite lead with the ignition on, the alt is likely inop.
