jasonjc you are correct. Here is a picture taken at General Mitchell Airport in 2012. The last time I was there was 1996, and I could swear the B-25 was on it's landing gear, and in this picture it's mounted on a pylon. Anyways I have trouble remembering what went on last month, let alone...
Early this week a friend of mine took this picture of the B-24J flying overhead near John Wayne airport in So. California. The other picture is a Consolidated PB4Y-2 Privateer.
John Tennis has had this same diesel additive evaluation on his website for some time and it's a good read. It's not to long maybe 10 min. Frank8003, yea it's a big black box, but it opens just fine.

I use Diesel Kleen. It has an additive to lubricate and protect pumps and injectors. If I don't have any on hand I use Valvoline 2-cycle oil. The Deuce runs and idles smooth, and pulls the hills better with Diesel Kleen. Diesel Kleen also makes a winter blend that removes water and prevents icing.
Guyfang. This is a picture of the Lake Mead B-29. The wreck is normally about 300ft. deep, but with the drought, the wreck is about 100ft. deep. The shallower water enables divers to dive and explore the wreck........nobody has stolen it yet, although there have been some souvenirs taken.
The desert tan aircraft is the B-24A from the Commemorative Air Force. The aluminum aircraft is a B-24J from the Collings Foundation. Both are airworthy and fly at airshows around the country. There also may be other B-24s that are airworthy, and several more are static displays in aviation museums.
I don't know how the laws are in North Carolina, in California & Nevada folks will usually pass on an untitled vehicle. I recommend talking with your local DMV before you part with any cash.
