Tripping Sensors at Left hand turn lanes?

Garmin GDR45D (Dual cameras) Garmin GDR35's These were only available in the Asian market when I bought them. Havent looked in a while to see if they made it to the US. They work great and the low light capability is excellent. Ive been using Garmin products since 1993 and have been...

12v conversion - can any "points of failure" be removed?

He wasn't rude at all. He was correct. You clearly do not understand the cucv 12/24v system. It took me a bit to understand it. Now it's easy. Reading about and researching old threads/schematics on it helped a lot. Also the continuous run-on sentence post of yours was difficult to read...

    Fuel "system" sticking

Sitting a lot doesn't help. Yes, the Military lets things sit a very long time. A lot of problems can occur because of that. Drive it more or at least start it and let it run for an hour or so weekly. Most guys add something to the fuel to keep everything lubed. I use two-cycle motor oil...

What did you do to your trailer today.

That's looks much better than I thought it would with regular sized wheels and tires on it. Do you have a pic of the rear showing both tires in the pic?

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

If you would, post pictures directly to site. The links will eventually go dead and help no one.

What did you do to your trailer today.

Name it. I own a small ranch, so it gets used a lot. I haul wood, fuel, water, dirt, ladders, gravel, sand, cow poo, tools, brush, fencing material and on and on. Use the tailgate a LOT as a portable work bench. Trailer doesn't sit too high, so when I need to, I put a generator in it and...

What did you do to your trailer today.

Exactly. Thst is the exact reason I'm doing the gate in front also. When empty, swing gates back. The green one I have that I restored to original condition looks brand new. I rarely use it. Will use it as a rough camper when it cools down. The tan one I use several times a week. Just now...

What did you do to your trailer today.

Bought two NOS fiberglass gate sets from a SS member. Will be doing the front gate mod on the tan M101A2 Saturday. Will be really nice having a gate on both the front and back. I use it a lot.

AM General M934 How difficult is it to find repairs & how much will they set me back?

What's up with GovPlanet? There are still a LOT of 5 tons sitting on bases, but the auctions have all but dried up. Just a few here and there. Yes, a lot are junk, but also a lot are nice. Anyone know what determines when these will be auctioned? I know several people, along with Alice...

    New Wiper Switch, still overheating

Maybe you have an issue with some of the wiring suffering from internal corrosion. Wire looks great on the outside, but underneath the sheathing, corrosion is present, causing resistance. Old wiring will do that. Just a thought

    M1008 body tech drawings

I use ACF-50. Designed for aviation, but works on anything. It stops corrosion upon contact and will continue protecting for up to two years. Works great and I used it extensively on my CUCVs. None had any rust and I want them to stay that way. It seeps and penetrates very well. I soaked my...

Looking for Arizona resident that knows the M1009 CUCV

When starting out and learning the CUCV electrical system, it can be extremely frustrating. I know I was ready to shoot mine a few times when I first got it and was trying to get it back on the road. Of course I didn't and the truck was worth every penny, bloodied finger, bad word, etc. The...

M1101/02 trailers: I need to change the wheels and need the exact size

I run those on one of my trucks and they are great! Michelin A/Ts on the rest. Have a set on my green M101A2 now. Quiet, great traction, very long wearing. I run Michelin on everything I own. All E rated. Exception being on my tan M101A2 Installed used set of BF Goodrich All Terrains from...
