Yea mine has two one for the engine cooling fan one for the axle interlock. Thought you were just going to tap a air supply and run an air switch like on the Deuce front axle engagement or a lift axle air switch. Could just use the correct interaxle air switch that is found on most tractors if...
Please put the brass bowel thing the outer way so the edge will cut into the cork making the seal. Using an O ring then O ring on top of last washer then brass bowel thing. So on the shaft down in the canister hole there is / should be a cotter pin. That stops the first washer from falling into...
Going out on a limb here. Yes grease only in the self adjusting wedge unit mounted to the backing plate. No fluid in the plunger. If the rubber pancake on the brake can leaked air into the shaft it might push grease out the self adjuster wedge thingy and past plunger seal on to the backing...
Yep as a tandem to much stress locked and running on anything that is not forgiving mud /snow. As a single believe at highway speeds you are going to get the unit to heat up way to hot. That plow /sander truck when in use would see slow speeds. When I plowed and sanded for the state I don't...
It will need full time air to stay in gaged and a switch that relieves the pressure when off. Still believe it's not the best thing to run a diff lock at high speeds single or tandem set up.
If you look at when the diff lock is applied to the MTV it is when you put it in mode if I remember. Full power to all axles front/rear.
When I have used the diff lock in any truck it was only to come out of something nasty. It was then switched off as soon as the truck has reached hard pan...
Not meaning to off track but my daydream would be Wet suit for the OP. Large john boat with cover and waver runner as it can operate in two foot of water. Seems like sometimes you see the outboards out there helping but there motors are up because of the depth of water. Seems like even with the...
Yea that primary can be tough. They say you should never spin the canister. Well that's what I do. I loosen the bolt just enough to get the canister to spin and I spin off the canister. Clean/replace check for correct hardware. Then to get it started for install I hold the bolt with my finger...
Never known G to come up with some ''EXCUSE'' about anything. Myself he has always help with numbers, info and great mechanical drawings without any attitude. Fortune cookie say man never let ego turn him into gashole.
Cattlerepairman I had a door that did the same thing bottom back bottom to low. I took some very thin washers and put them under the bottom hinge plate between the hinge plate and cab. Then I install the bolts and you might need a helper this time. You might get away with just loosen the bolts...
Believe in the beginning there was a fiber washer in stead of and O ring. First goes the cotter pin in retaining bolt to stop first washer from going to the bottom of the canister. Next is the steel washer then the spring then another steel washer then a fiber washer that fit tight on the shaft...
