The analog style gauges Holley sells are a little pricy but they all daisy chain together and tap into the Holley harness. Should be pretty clean when it’s done. I didn’t see the point in trying to reuse any of that stuff, but it would be cool!

Really loving how this wiring is going. My plan is to have the dash look like a regular Humvee, with the ignition switch being used and analog style gauges. The ignition switch has 3 leads coming off it, battery power, accessories, and momentary for the starter. I plan on run the accessory lead...

Starting a new build waste of time, effort and money

curious to see what that looks like. I've thought about modifying mine so that instead of it being kinda square its more rectangle, so it would still be there for the 2 door fill plates, but also angled so that the front seats could recline....

Driver side is done, glad all that is behind me now. Is it interesting that there were more shims on the passenger side than the driver? Everything is more square now, but toe needs to be adjusted. driver side one shim, passenger side 3.

Trying to get the fuel system done as well as the exhaust, so while the fuel tank and soon to be removed muffler are out of the way, I’m using this as an opportunity to go ahead and remove the camber shims. Not terribly difficult, but a few of the bolts are a little hard to reach. I just...

Was traveling for work and came across some Humvee parts for sale. Scooped up a turbo doghouse for $80 and some flappy doors for $150. The Tubro doghouse fits perfect with the LS truck motor. I don’t know what these doors are actually called, but I really wanted a way to access this area when...

Hydroboost lines are done! Originally I got a pump to hydroboost line from a 2500 Chevy and it was a little too long. Found out a m998 Humvee hose is perfect.

LS swap headers -what did you use?

Nice!! I had thought about a center dump style but didn’t think there would be enough room! Well done! I just ordered my second set of headers cause I wasn’t happy with the first ones. I’ll see how they do when I get home and if it’s garbage I’ll look into these. Thank you!

New fuel tank showed up, glad that’s done. Ordered some headers and they didn’t fit the best. Ordered another set that I think will be better. Sure I could cut the “ears”’off the transmission but I still don’t like the angle the collector is at.

For anyone watching this and taking notes, it’s a whole lot easier to run a returnless fuel system than using the return style I had already. I was able to swap my rails for a returnless style thanks to a local guy here. I could have used what I had but also had concerns about using the factory...

it’s ok work, doesn’t compare to the stuff you do sir, but I appreciate the compliment. Factory shroud extensions? I had no idea that’s a thing? Is it an H1 thing or a Humvee? I do believe I should have run the shroud all the way around the fan, but this is what I had here. We will see. I...

So the other day I was working on this, installing the radiator, and I was standing in the engine compartment. The hood prop rod wasn’t secured and the hood started to fall so I grabbed it and it took me with it to the floor. Unfortunately I broke the hood, total bummer. Luckily I was able to...

I bypassed the oil cooler on the LS motor, so all I needed cooling for was the transmission and steering. Found 2 of the smaller coolers and decided that made the most sense, they are cheap and fit… also mounted up the engine covers to see how they fit, not sure they will stay. Need to do...

Made a shroud extension. 3” wide, 36” long, 1/16”. I probably should have made one all the way around but this should be fine…
