It CAN be done, but you will wind up having to get an oversized equipment trip ticket for each state you plan on driving it in (and those permits are usually only for three days). Even though diesel is relatively cheap right now the HET drinks a lot of it, so your driving expenses are going to...
I picked up stuff from OKC last week (on Friday) that came out on two pallets and a tri-wall box. I asked the forklift driver if he wanted the pallets, because if he did, he could have them, otherwise they would leave with me, and the same would be done with the tri-wall box. He decided to...
Yes, download ALL the deuce TM's, it should be in the -20, or the -34 (or both). If you are going to work on the trucks, you should have all the TM's including the old (-209- series) and the newer (-361- series) because things changed.
If you are too close to a more powerful radio when it transmits, the receiving radio gets too much power coming into it and bad things happen to the innards (IE, you get to replace them, or replace the radio). Can even happen with radios of the same power, if their output is more than a couple...
Depends on whether the DMV does registration/plates on a weighted basis. SC does, and the difference between a deuce with a GVRW of 16,000 and one of 25,000 GVRW is over $100 a year for the tag. The lower one in SC is $109 a year for the tag, the heavier one $230. You will have to look into...
There's a bunch of people in the Charlotte area. And, a number of us were up there a little bit ago with the Warbirds Over Monroe Weekend event. Cargo Deuce, Shop Van, MKT, jeeps, etc. were camped out at the airport.
A Personal visit is in order to determine the validity of all that we have offered both in this thread and via PM. Boots on the ground trump all second hand intel.
I agree. You need four people to properly deploy and fold up an MKT. I've done it by myself (IE alone) in about 1.5 hours going each way, but I'm not physically disabled - and the ground was level. Fully loaded the MKT is 5600 pounds, empty it's still around 4000. It has air over hydraulic...
Generator needs some cross ventilation so the exhaust can go somewhere else, open the ends should be sufficient. MEP002A was meant to be outside, but protected from rain and snow.
Do a google search on NC Army National Guard with the unit shown on the second line of your bumper. To narrow it down a little further, you will need to provide what was on the other bumperette.
Heavy duty hat channel is what they are attached to on the generator trailers. Just measured it, steel is .178 inch thick and the top of the hat is five inches wide. You might find someone parting out a generator trailer and get the pieces from them.
Those are generally regarded as 'unobtainum' (IE, you buy another another MKT that has those items, because you never find anyone, including GL that has any).
Here is how to read the titles of technical manuals:
First Part - TM (Technical Manual), TB (Technical Bulletin), LO (Lube Order), etc.
Second Part -9 (ordnance equipment including vehicles), 1 series is aircraft, etc.
Third Part - 2320 (FSC - Federal Supply Code for wheeled vehicles)
Fourth...
