Using the crank to get the belts on was the trick!

Sure looks like the one held in her hands is for the single circuit brake system. The old one still mounted to the truck is a dual circuit MC.

Can you post a few more pics of the M62 gun mount. I like the idea.

If it’s a wrecker, check the clutch engagement lever back at the crane controls.

Don't jeopardize the integrity of the cab strength by cutting a gusset given your putting an M66 ring on the truck.

I cut some Strips of 1/4” rubber mud flap that went between the legs and the cab. That gave me room for the canvas cover.

Mrgior21513, I agree with others that this truck should not be modified in any way. It's a great piece of MV history. This would make a great Vietnam gun truck build.

I've had a M818 and it was fun to drive, easy to fix, but as everyone here has stated, everything is heavy! The other thing I didn't like about the M818 is that it'll beat the tar out of you without any weight on the back.

Never use the "M" word at the DMV.
