Since both gauges are not working, there is a possibility that the set is wired wrong, or has been "re-wired". Check your voltmeters with a power supply, or a 9 volt battery to se if they work. Don't check the load gauge with a battery or power supply. That gauge has a 50mv full scale...
I use a surplus Fostoria industrial heater just like this one - ************************* (Not sure if I can post the complete link, but this one is on GovPlanet right now). This is a 15kw 240v single phase heater. The heater consists of six 2500 watt heating elements controlled by two...
If it is the round filter mounting plate that attaches to the air preheater, you can just get a piece of eighth inch aluminum and make your own. It doesn't even have to be perfectly round. Drill enough holes for the engine to get enough air, and leave a strip of metal across the center to attach...
You will also need an upstream regulator on the cylinder, to drop the pressure to a level acceptable to the purge regulator. The purge regulator most likely cannot handle the 2200 psi from the cylinder directly.
Same problem on mine. Original, with 500 hours. I caught it before the sparks flew, while inspecting the machine with the top off. I used fuel hose to sleve the wires, and wire ties to hold them together. The insulation was chafed about 1/2 way through on one of the wires.
Nice looking control panel. Here is my 2 cents worth - One reason I have a MEP-802 and MEP-16's and 531's is because they are extremely simple and easy to work on, which makes them reliable from my point of view. After working with fancy computer controlled generators for many years, I prefer...
Don't know if it's the same as the 803-A, but here are the dimensions for the spring on my 802-A.
Measured with calipers.
Wire diameter - 0.088"
Number of turns - 9 1/4
Small ID - 1.685"
Large ID - 2.610"
Height - 3.43"
I cut that part from a 1/8" thick piece of Silicone sheet gasket that I bought off the internet. The original gasket appeard to be fiber reinforced, but the plain Silicone sheet I used seems to be working fine.
P.S. I currently have the top off my 802A if anyone needs any dimensions of any of...
Has anyone ever had their MEP-531A wet stack? I was always under the impression that those run so hot that anything in the tailpipe would just burn out. At least that's how mine stay clean. I was just on the Dewey Electronics website, and on their generator accsessories page they are...
A current sensor is basically a current transformer that transforms current to current at a specific ratio. I don't know what the ratio on the generator CT is, but the industry standars is current input / 5 amps output. so a 100/5 transformer would give you 5 amps out when the wire through the...
Need to make sure it was hot! A bad head gasket ( or worse) can blow coolant all over the place also. The reason I mention that is, you stated you got a lot of black liquid out of the radiator. Usually it is antifreeze color or rust color for really old antifreeze, not black. The crunchy hoses...
Most equipment can actually be operated on both frequencies, if you can live with the necessary derating factors. Back when I used to do real work, I frequently had to deal with different frequency equipment as well as variable frequency equipment. It was interesting while working in different...
That is the flowrate that the pump will put out if open ended into a bucket. When it's dead headed into an injection pump, the flow is reduced, and the pressure maxes out at 7 psi.
