Thank you guys!
Wow, getting voted MV of the Year is a big honor for my truck and I ! I have put a ton of work into my truck in the last 3 years so this award feels really good and is indeed a highlight for the truck.
There were a lot of great rigs in the running that made it a very stiff...
It's loud for sure and I love it; 1000-1600 rpm sounds like a jet spooling up for take off when the turbo whine is louder than the exhaust note. The jakes sound super sexy though. They let out a sharp, staccato hammering at high rims and a mellow burble under 1700 or so.
A long drive for me...
The truck in the second video is mine and for the sake of compiling numbers it's running a #17 button and the most I've seen is 14+ psi & 900° F. I don't know what rail pressures it's running at but the new button has caused new fuel leaks around the manual shutoff valve...
OK, I found a torque value and a torque sequence in the Oct. 1992 TM.
In the section header it lists both the A1 (5/8" stud) and the A2 (3/4" stud) tire and wheel so I guess it's the value for both stud sizes
This race is getting tight!
Towering over the soccer mom SUVs is fun when I surprise the kids in the pick-up lane!
I put this on when the state wide mask mandate went into effect just to appease the crazy folk and offer up some comic relief from the lock down...
I contacted my district representatives here is WA to support HB1439. They were happy to hear from me but they have to wait until it clears the House and moves on to the Senate before they can vote on it. I don't know if there are folks in the House to contact or maybe it's already in motion.
Thanks for chiming in guys, but I was hoping for something more definitive. Going till it stops is a bit subjective. Like if I use my favorite wrench till it stops it won't be enough:
If I use a 1" impact till it stops I might be snapping off studs.
There's got to be ft-lb number...
I've been looking for the torque spec for the nuts that fasten the two halves of the A2 combat wheels with the 3/4" studs, but I haven't found anything. Does anyone know what the correct range is? Does it differ by brand of wheel?
How much antifreeze are you all adding to 16.00R20s? In the video he mentioned he started with 1 pint (16 oz) and would most likely double it (32 oz) for 14.00-20s, i believe.
A balance bead manufacturer lists 36 oz worth of beads for the 16.00R20 size of tire. Does 36 oz (4.5 cups) of...
My passengers taking a pic after the Veteran's Day parade this past year
And one of my favorite mods - the grenade micro-switch that turns on the jake brakes when I squeeze the handle!
Memorial Day ceremony and a fun local car show before they banned military rigs for being too heavy for their new asphalt driveway. They even banned the M37...
