Looking at a Local M923A1: Need Advice

ISO bed trucks are usually USMC and have lockers so that can be a bonus for you. Tires are out there reasonable if you change to the current 395's on the lmtv's. One of our members @fuzzytoaster has a new soft top in the classifieds. 3 lever light switches are out there reasonable also. I would...

Just a pure speculation swag but Ukraine is in need of gen sets and I suspect working units will be diverted instead of surplused to dla. Ymmv

    Block Heater

Cords are pretty universal as will fit many vehicles with the same brand. Gm does not make it. That is a reboxed/labeled aftermarket.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Only the top 2nd on left looks new. Definitely would return and/or dispute credit card charge. Shame a dealer would try to pass this on to a customer

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

OE kits only use one center bar and the bows are only taped/rivet nuts for one brace. I saw this pic and said duh, why I had not thought or done this before as I can't tell ya how many times I had water slosh forward and shower me till drained off.... search 12342314 2540-01-337-0242 on Ebay...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Great idea to add the additional 2 center braces. Down here in the sub tropics it constantly makes a great puddle and depending on the angle, I have gotten drenched with the driver window open taking off..... Did you also tap the bows and used screws? Where did you find the braces?

Geared hub drain plug removal advice

Yes, or just a brass pipe plug with a hex head. Using white teflon pipe liquid putty/dope will seal the pipe threads and allow for easy disassembly in the future.

    Are all good trucks gone?

On the flip side, I saw a nice tan m1097a2 that looked in decent condition in Tx go for $4k and another one less nice but still $4k in Al. Just have to look and be flexible.

Rhinolift Tire Carrier for a M1045A2?

those LEO mounts appear to be Ibis Tek. They typically are offset so another carrier for Fuel/Water cans can go on left. Interesting info on the Rhino webpage as they seem to have a refurb lift available direct and I also saw a kit to mount without an airlift bumper.

    HMMWV 6.5 Lift Pump Life

If you are removing the vent, then the standard 2 line civy pump will work just fine.
