    M35A2 injection pump refurbishing

Welcome to the Green Iron Disease Party! At the top of the page there is a tab TM. Click on that, follow the drop down to the M35A2 trucks and you will be overwhelmed. Are you sure the pump is leaking? There are several fittings, connections and a soft hose that will seep all in that general...

    Brake Bleeding ideas/failed ideas

2 different issues. Your bleeder system seems to work for you. You already spent the blood and treasure to set it up so enjoy. I have gone all over to the pressure bleeder route with catch cans. Motive Power Bleeder makes it so easy for any of my vehicles. You wrote it takes 2 pumps to get...

You brake and my M1009 stays in neutral.

It reads as if your transfer case might be the unit slipping out of gear and not your transmission. They braking hard in 4x4 hi and 4x4 lo and see if the dame thing happens as what you described in 2wd hi. Hopefully it is just the transfer case linkage that needs adjustment and not the...

    Should I drive this?

Yes, you will be fine. Just make sure it is only oil and not oil/fuel in the crank case. Plus, let it run long enough to get all the way up to temperature.

6.2 diesel cylinder 8 glow plug wire catching fire

I think this is a new one. Does your valve cover seep oil that might have flashed when the exposed wire got hot? The advice given above is the best way to diagnose and fix it.

Help Troubleshooting Potential Sticking Metering Valve

The fast idle solenoid is not powerful enough to move the throttle lever on its own. Any time the key is on and the coolant temperature is below 94° the green wire to the fast idle solenoid should have 12 volts. If you don’t touch the throttle after turning on the ignition the fast idle solenoid...

Help Troubleshooting Potential Sticking Metering Valve

If you had to bash out the internals of the return line check valve. Your injection pump is coming apart inside and needs to be rebuilt. Getting that done will probably fix your problem. Another thought I has was your fast idle solenoid. Do you push the throttle about half way down after...

    M1009 fuel system upgrade

I didn’t open LMC to follow up each part number. However, the name of the parts look like you are on the right track. I would also suggest new biodiesel grade hoses at the fuel tank to solid line connections. Follow the metal line all the way from the tank to the fuel pump and replace any other...

1952 M135 GMC Inline 6 Hard to Crank Over

Have you checked the ground from the batteries at the frame connection? Same with the ground strap from the starter if it has one and the ground strap from the engine to the frame.

    M1009 NEW INJECTOR PUMP SMOKING

The Ford 6.9/7.3 DB2 pump has people adjusting it all the time. Besides spinning the other way, what is different about adjusting it?

    M1009 NEW INJECTOR PUMP SMOKING

You want to tighten the screw to reduce the fuel rate. Is it a 6.2 pump or a 6.5 pump? 829 is a 6.2 pump and 831 on the data plate is a 6.5 pump.

    Truck-Lite Headlights

I am interested as well. I have a set of the 27450C lights and love them. I didn’t know they were discontinued.

Oh, here is a video about turning up the fuel rate in the injection pump:

    Detuned 6.5

You can turn the fuel up a little to get some power. But the reality is that without a turbo it is never going to set the world on fire. I see in your signature that you have CUCV 6.2 experience. So, you might actually feel a difference turning up the IP. No one with out 6.2 experience will be...
