S1 Switch Function (Auto Start) 003a

Most of the temp sensors (metal) I have found go up to ~250f which I'm guessing would be high enough but I worry a little about the wire that goes to the sensor...if I can get it out of the way or wrap it it something to protect it from the higher temperatures.

S1 Switch Function (Auto Start) 003a

Thanks for the awesome feedback here. My pi came today and I'm using a 3 relay hat (will need two of them) but wanted to do some proof of concept before purchasing everything. I was able to switch the relays very easily with very little python code. Let the wiring and coding begin. One thing...

S1 Switch Function (Auto Start) 003a

Thanks for the info. That's something that would have had me chasing my tail for a little while. Since the starter disengages automatically, it seems like the simple thing to start with would be just to crank for 10-15 seconds, stop then check for voltage. Once I get things starting on their...

S1 Switch Function (Auto Start) 003a

So your saying I will need to stop cranking then check for oil pressure rather than trying to check while cranking?

S1 Switch Function (Auto Start) 003a

What type logic board did you use? Some type of PLC? I see several relays as well, what capacity relays did you use? Thanks for any guidance you can provide from your experiences.

S1 Switch Function (Auto Start) 003a

Thanks for the encouragement. I don't know much about PLCs but do know about raspberry pi's and python so I figured I would go that route. Mentally putting it down, my logic would look something like this (welcome your input): - Attached a sensor attached the pi that would give ambient...

S1 Switch Function (Auto Start) 003a

I see now. There is another set of connections made 25-27-28 that will actually engage the starter. I'm working on a low cost raspberry pi (with some relays) for an autostart. I don't see why it wouldn't work if all that's happening here is connections are being made within the S1 switch...

S1 Switch Function (Auto Start) 003a

I did not see that diagram in the lower right corner. That's what I was looking for however is there an error in the start circuit? Shouldn't that be 11-13-27 rather than 11-13-15? On mine, 15 is preheat.

S1 Switch Function (Auto Start) 003a

I'm working on a lower cost auto-start for my 003a. From looking at the manuals (and the wiring diagram of the autostart kits) I have the wire location (terminal blocks locations) that need to be connected up. The one thing I don't have figured out just yet is how the generator is powered off...

    Mep002/3a Fuel Pump Parts

Absolutely. I'll PM you. Thanks so much for the help!

    Mep002/3a Fuel Pump Parts

There is a little metal 3-pronged piece that has a hole in that the internal check valve sits. Mine was bent when I dissembled it and one of the other prongs was already very weak. I also shot the plastic check valve (half round with small shaft) and small spring (that fits on that plastic...

    Mep002/3a Fuel Pump Parts

One of my two regular fuel pumps isn't working. I took it apart to clean and it has a broken part. Is there a source for a rebuilt kit for these? I've got one working and the transfer pump works as well but would like to keep my transfer pump for a future project. I've seen several 24v...

    MEP-003A No Output Voltage

I double checked myself and then again against my faulty one (only has one faulty leg that reads open) and it showed the same reading during each of the 6 readings (on the replacement). I have found someone parting a 003a out and have purchased the whole AC box with the transformers, switch...

    TM Wiring Diagram Question

I knew there must have been a logical reason but didnt exactly know what....now I do. Thanks for the explanation.

    TM Wiring Diagram Question

I'm in the process of replacing my CVT1 and linear transformer. This means lots of wires flying everywhere. I labled the wiring as I took it off but I'm also double checking the wires against the wiring diagram. I'm sure this is a stupid question but what does it mean when there are two numbers...

    MEP-003A No Output Voltage

As it turns out the CVT1 from delks wasn't good. All three primary and secondary windings are reading .9 ohms. Anyone have any other suggestions or maybe multiple spares they 're willing to part with one? I have a new transformer and will be installing it. I'm in a real bind for a cvt1 to get my...

    MEP-003A No Output Voltage

Thanks for the lead. I spoke with Landon and he went searching for me and found one. He said he didn't have any way to test it but was labeled good. He said I could return if it wasn't good. I'll test it when it comes in and hopefully it is.

    MEP-003A No Output Voltage

I think you have confused me for someone else. I would love to take you up on that offer but doesn't look like we are very close. This generator was making power when I purchased it and it just stopped (not sure why these two components went bad at same time). I'm wondering if something made a...

    MEP-003A No Output Voltage

I saw the same thing. An easy plug and play solution but for sure not cheap. Could these be repaired? I've talked to a company that claims they can but I'm a little leery.
