He didn’t check anything first he went on my saying it’s prob head gaskets. I have no line on a motor you know anyone that’s selling one? I have idled the truck with the cap off the overflow and didn’t see any bubbles
No he said visually he sees nothing wrong with heads or head gaskets and don’t see how oil and coolant can mix in the heads. He said it has to be a crack in the cooling jacket somewhere that’s it says he don’t see it.
Im stuck he said he has no way to confirm 100% it’s a crack and if I want the heads tested I would have to pick them up and pay and find someone to test them. Or he can put it back together for the 3k labor he charges for head gaskets and I leave. Or I can buy a new motor for him to put in
When I drained the coolant it came out like mayonnaise that yellowish color like tar. He has the heads off now. I wondering if that’s why I been getting like 6-7 mpg and everyone else on the forums claim 10-12 mpg. I also have to add a half court oil every 3 months.
I can really use some help I have a 6.5 na rebuild by meltons is 09 if the odometer was t changed only has 6k miles I noticed oil in the coolant 9 months ago no coolant in oil. Was told head gaskets my mechanic has the heads off and say they look fine and the gaskets that he don’t see how oil in...
Yea with engine off and no less than 120psi on compressor I can spin by hand. When I start the truck and lock it at 1500rpm the fan ony disengages with 120psi from air compressor

I replace the upper hose from valve to fan shroud. I can’t get inside to replace the hose with the quick connect. It’s a highway job to pull that radiator stack especially in your driveway with no garage lol.
Ok I had a fuel pressure gauge in garage I hope it will work for the fan clutch pressure. The gauge maxes out at 100psi. when I hooked it up it bottomed out past 100psi on the gauge. Idk if the gauge isn’t the right one?

Thank you for reading everything and giving your advice. I’m going to have to get the gauge but this hasn’t worked since I got the truck 2.5 years ago. I did waste money just replacing parts like an idiot. 2 Cadillac valves, time delay, hoses from Cadillac valve water crossover sensor lol and 3...
Did you read my last reply? The fan clutch disengages with 120psi from my compressor nothing less. The Tm says the Cadillac valve operates from 30-90 psi I’m assuming my clutch is stuck that’s why it won’t disengage without 30psi over what the Tm states? Am I correct?

I’m sure it has been engaged since I got the truck 2.5 years ago. I bet that’s why I only get 7mpg also and other people talk about getting 10-12

Ok I just did what you told me. The fan clutch only disengages with 120psi air from my compressor nothing less. The TM says it should disengage with 90psi from the Cadillac valve l. I’m assuming bad or sticking fan clutch? If so anything I can do besides replacing it?

I’m gonna try your idea no one has ever suggested that. I’ll unplug the valve and start the truck and see if it free wheels using compressor
