2021-22 Washington State HB 1439 - Authorizing military surplus vehicles to operate on public highways.

The only issue I was presented with is that it does not have a FMVSS certification (proven to be certified by an engraved plaque mounted somewhere on the vehicle), therefore it is too dangerous to drive on the street. I did not get any greif about the VIN or other data plates and I also had an...

2021-22 Washington State HB 1439 - Authorizing military surplus vehicles to operate on public highways.

I'm not surprised, they had far more "important" (radical?) items to pass this session. We'll keep trying, all we can do really.

'03 M1045A2 front shoulder belt bracket

Oh nice! That's just what the doctor ordered. What kind of fasteners did you use? Just high strength bolts?

'03 M1045A2 front shoulder belt bracket

Was getting ready to message you. Yes, I believe that's what I need. They mount directly to the b-pillar. I'll try to upload a picture, I'm not super tech savvy.

'03 M1045A2 front shoulder belt bracket

Hello all, I was hoping for some guidance. I was attempting to install some seat belts in my '03 M1045A2 and I realized I don't have the mounting brackets and hardware for the front shoulder belts. I guess the "armament carriers" have the direct B-pillar mounted shoulder belt bracket. Does...

    '03 M1045A2 idle surges

Good advice, appreciate it. The cycling always ends within a minute so I think I'm doing well. I will definitely keep an eye on it though. Thanks for weighing in - there's not a lot of info about this situation out there.

    '03 M1045A2 idle surges

Yep, yellow label box. That's what I was hoping to hear... Just couldn't find anything conclusive. My voltmeter reads 29 volts but it was also dirt cheap, so it may be off by a hair. Appreciate the info and quick responses.

    '03 M1045A2 idle surges

29 volts output at regulator and batteries at idle. Before I was getting what I discovered was just battery power (a sporadic 24-ish volts and no change in battery voltage from off to start). PCB is the KDS CR-2695 it seems.

    '03 M1045A2 idle surges

So, long story short, my voltage regulator was shot (200 amp generator, dual voltage regulator) so I replaced it with a brand new N3135 regulator. Now my voltage output is correct, however, an issue I had prior that was not corrected was that the idle would surge temporarily for about 30-60...

2021-22 Washington State HB 1439 - Authorizing military surplus vehicles to operate on public highways.

I just got the emails about this yesterday from our reps. The lead sponsor seems to think that it has a decent chance of passing next session with some support from the public. I have seen this memo you mentioned as it was presented to me during the registration process.

2021-22 Washington State HB 1439 - Authorizing military surplus vehicles to operate on public highways.

I did a quick search and did not see an active thread about this, so my apologies if there is one. Looks like there is another bill to possibly allow licensing of surplus MV's. Please review the link and contact your representatives! HB 1439 - Authorizing military surplus vehicles to operate...

Hello everyone! I am just getting into the surplus military vehicle hobby and am trying to track down my first. I'm up in Marysville, WA (about 30 miles north of Seattle) and look forward to spending lots of time here. DAN
