    batteries are 2 years old and were supposed to be 2 year batteries. I rotated last year, starts fine. Belts look like they have some play. Was thinking they may be slipping when engine is revved. Can this happen?

    gauge is usually in the green (a little past the little white reference line). During kickdown, the gauge goes to yellow for a few seconds, then goes almost to red, then back to normal. 200A dual voltage alternator with triple belts. Is this ok, or is something about to break?

    Wasn't titled in WV, I had to title it myself in NJ. On the bill of sale, says 1994 M998. NJ had no clue what this thing was so they titled it as "1994 AM/M994 Humvee"....LOL WTF?

    According to the parts manual, the unit is considered an H13 (basic unit). The manual shows a 12447125/2520014092512, but only if kit 57K3498 is installed. How do you know if it is installed?, and what is the part number if it isn't installed? Looks like there are (2) types that it could...

    That was kind of what I was asking about the wheel winch. Never tried it either, but was told it would tear out the suspension.

    Was just wondering, the wheels on the Humvee have this metal tube like structure mounted to the rim. In the manual/videos I saw, you could put a piece of rebar (or bar) through this tube, and wind a tow rope around this. The principal is that as the wheels turn, it will reel the rope and winch...

    close, I was actually on my property in Jackson, Gdam swampy in some parts. Also, found out why the front wheels were not turning...blew the u joint on the front drive shaft was just whipping around knocking the piss out of the transfer case..which is now leaking.

    oh, it was definitely operator error (my stupid ass). Had to get a local towing company with a dual winch to finally get me out. In the process, his truck got stuck in the soft mud, felt so bad for the guy, truck was brand new. But HUMVEE is FREE!. Unfortunately, got some clanking noise...
