So… here are a couple shots of the cab… completely repainted, almost all new data plates (the others are on the way, and I had a custom one made for the ID plate) new steering wheel, a couple of new gauges, air wipers fixed and working, my one attempt at humor with a “deuce” pool ball shift...

I have State Farm on my cars and home, but my agent specifically told me they would NOT touch the deuce with a ten foot pole. I tried Hagerty and a few other places,with no success. Finally, Geico took me on with an online application! It’s around $60 per month for maxed out liability plus...

Any of you in “the know…” I need a contact in the Denver, CO area for a deuce mechanic. Nothing major, just routine maintenance. Private guy or shop is fine. I fear that my shop down south is going to leave me hanging. Any suggestions are most welcome.

One of my biggest pet peeves is the newer larger vehicles with nothing but an automatic “PRNDL” transmission. Once you bring it down a steep hill, you’re either feathering (and burning) the brakes in “Drive,” or you’re doing 20 mph in low and the engine is redlining. It’s annoying as hell...
