    M915A4

OK, the cabling has me a bid confused. Row nearest truck frame (Inner) has red cable covering the positives on 2 battery. In the middle another red cable linking 4 batteries positive (Outer battery) to negative(inner row battery) to positive(Outer battery) to negative(Inner row battery). Last...

    M915A4

Thanks for the replies. I had read that thread yesterday for info. Tires were replaced a few years back but I haven't looked at the date code. They also have a Military trailer, forgot the number but it's a Fontaine from 2006. Good shape but they have no title for it.

Looked it up and the batteries are $699 each!

    M915A4

I thought about taking the batteries out of my Deuces and putting them in to get it started however my batteries are larger than what came out of the 915 so I doubt the cables will align. If I can't fit the 4 of them in there I doubt 2 of them will have enough cranking to get the job done.

    M915A4

Our Town has a M915A4 (since 2014 or so) from Gov't surplus. Used very little with 16,000 or so miles on it. Been sitting 2 years and they are getting ready to put it up for Public bid. I know little about semi's but am trying to help them get it running. Batteries were dead so tried to slave...

Shifting techniques of experienced Deuce Drivers

What did you do to your deuce this week?

At our Town's annual Memorial Day event I had kids climbing all over the trucks. They had a lot of fun and I was glad I disconnected the batteries before hand!

    Where to look for M35s/M109s?

I think I have run across 1 or 2 A3 models only on the .gov sale sites over the last few years. I too missed getting on the sale bonanza years back.

    Where to look for M35s/M109s?

Brakes work but are the single line system. PM wise it was upkept by the FD according to the Chief but then it sat for a few years after it was turned in until .gov sold it. I got the truck as a package deal. Mechanically it is OK. Body wise the fenders have been repaired. Has rust on other...

    J pipe

Really don't want to buy a new one at $279.... The FD had run under the chassis exhaust as the J pipe bottom was rusted out. Removed the under piping. I see truck USA has a 90 3.5" exhaust for $59 that I may be able to use 2 of them to remove the bad part. Anyone done this lately? If so what...

    Where to look for M35s/M109s?

I will have a standard M35a2 for sale in a month or so. It has a winch and hard top. 1968 model, Titled in Virginia It was a former Brush truck and they had cut a few holes in the bed for piping. Need to fix that yet and the J pipe before I sell it. I spoke to the Fire Chief that had it and he...
