    Israeli M113A2’s

Im trying to get this sub forum going again with some more posts. I imported a large lot of Israeli M113A2’s after a three-year back and forth with the State Department. It involved lawyers and other individuals who went and hand-delivered responses, letters and other pertinent information. It...

M-60A1 main battle tank from "project" to running and registered

I remember passing the Army National Guard armory to and from school every day and there was a M60 painted in the MERDEC pattern. I always wanted a tank just like that one some day. V/R Ron

M-60A1 main battle tank from "project" to running and registered

I bought this M60A1 project from the widow of Steve Preston's after he suffered from a catastrophic accident in his M-41 Walker Bulldog and passed away. I didn't go looking for it but it was offered to me and because it had all the proper release paperwork from the USMC and Department of Navy, I...

    M-50 Sherman alive again

Here are two pictures of my M-50 after full restoration and DD registration. The service history of this Sherman is so rich from it's origins in Europe, Israel and finally Lebanon and then back to Israel after the Christian militia handed it back over to the IDF. It was initially part of the...

    The real cost of armor?

Tim, Not that I know of. I'll ask the guys to exact details of what happened to it but I thought it was a panel/box that went bad. They pulled one from another and confirmed that was the part. I just haven't had much time to source the part as we've been busy working on the "AS1" conversion and...

What's the deal with importing American-made armor?

    It was fifteen M113A2's ;) V/R Ron

    The real cost of armor?

The parts we have needed are all electronic. We've even got one of our Leopards live-firing again through in-house fabricating but nobody works on German "computer" engine management systems. Since we have so many Leopards, we used blueprints from the Australian AS1 to mod our Belgium 1A5BE...

    The real cost of armor?

I've got six Leopard 1's myself and I can tell you that the biggest problem with owning them is that spare parts don't exist (for the most part) here in the US. At least with my M-60 and M113's, there are plenty of spare parts you can find here in the States. Some countries don't like selling...

British CVRT Samson Recovery vehicle being restored .

Unless you're directly on the West Coast, it would probably cheaper to have most tanks delivered to Galveston, TX so you don't pay the fees for going through the Panama Canal extra float time. This is for people in the Southwest of course. V/R Ron

New guy saying hi! Where are the leopards!

Did you get your Leopard yet? I purchased some as well and they we are just waiting for approval to load on the transport ship. V/R Ron

    M998 mechanic in Las Vegas?

You are more than welcome to come down to Battlefield and spend some time with my mechanics. We have over twenty HMMWV's in our motor pool and my mechanics (are either Prior Service or still in the Guard/Reserves) can brief you on key points to keep your HMMWV running properly. I have friend who...

    Original HMMWV USMC auction

Yeah.. but look at the bright side, you will have PLENTY of spare parts. I purchased a total of THIRTEEN of the original HMMWV's so I could use them for legally transporting customers to and from our range. I have purchased plenty of the recently released HMMWV's to keep my original fleet up...

Absolutely the BEST thing I have done to me HMMWV!!!

We are in the desert and don't have issues with rusting because of the exhaust wrap but it is fiberglass. We pulled all of the exhaust wrap because every time somebody worked near the exhaust they were getting all the fiberglass in their skin. V/R Ron

    Red Dot A/c Question

We've installed four of them on our trucks. These all went on slantbacks and they are all "drop-in" and bolt-on kits. Real easy installation but holes will have to be drilled on the rear hatch. I believe one of ours came with brackets for both slantback and soft-top. V/R Ron
