    Fayetteville Govplanet yard

I just bought a trailer and the paperwork shows different days than what's listed here. (mon, tue & fri) I'll have to do some major reshuffling to accommodate since my plan was for Wednesday. In any case, is there updated phone numbers and an address for Fayetteville? Google maps shows...

    'New' member from IA

This thread has some good info on registering in Iowa. Make sure you read all the replies I got. TL;DR Bonded Title. https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/which-states-are-not-hmmwv-friendly

    Govplanet Tires

Thanks to everyone for all the info. Now that I've brought everyones attention to them they will be priced beyond what I want to pay but.... At least I know they are something usable. Thanks!

    Shipping suggestion

I'm looking at getting a stack of tires from Albany, Georgia (Maybe elsewhere if that does not pan out) and have seen posts where people say they had a "shipper" pickup their pallets of stuff from GovPlanet. I'm looking for suggestions on a shipper. I'm located in Iowa so it won't be something...

    Govplanet Tires

I saw this posting for tires on Govplanet and was wondering what was going on. They are non-split wheels. Is that something the military used? https://www.govplanet.com/for-sale/Parts-(5)-Goodyear-37X12.50R16.5-LT-Wrangler-MT-Tires-w%2FWheels-Georgia/9820751 I'm slightly concerned the label...

Which states are not HMMWV friendly?

How much does the bond cost? If you have a vehicle that you paid $10K for it looks like you need a $15K bond. So either you are unable to use that amount for 3 years or you pay someone else to do that. I'm sure that comes at a cost. Just curious as to how much it would cost to go down that path...

Which states are not HMMWV friendly?

Iowa is a no. The county office has instructions on how to do it but the state refused to accept the transfer letter that accompanies the SF-97. Iowa also requires an FMVSS decal. So that would probably be the next reason they refuse. There are HMMWV’s licensed in the state probably before the...

How to bypass PCB? I am aware some HMMWV owners have done it.

Thanks for the info on the dummy solenoid. I was indeed curious. I used pop rivets to put the box back together. Thanks for the clarification on the LED's. Since I only have one HMMWV I figured swapping booxes is not in the cards so I did not have any qualms about making a one-off. As for the...

How to bypass PCB? I am aware some HMMWV owners have done it.

I tried this and it worked as designed but the wait to start light was unclear. The diagrams show both the “original” and a secondary WTS light/24v led connected. Without an “extra” WTS LED my box worked the glow plugs and everything else perfectly but the WTS light did not work. So I decided to...
