Thank you, gentlemen, for the generosity...unexpected, and much appreciated. @79Vette is still traveling. I'll happily bite, UNIMOG-GUY (and I'll send some extra $$$ for the pigtail itself).
Edit: Apparently, I can't send PMs through the site (boo!). Would you mind giving me a call or...
My connector popped off my temp sensor (located at the driver-side rear of the block), and heat from the engine melted part of the rubber boot around the spade connector. If anyone is parting out a CUCV, and wants to sell this boot/connector and around 12" of wiring pigtail, I'm interested...

I just had a local mechanic install a new Fluidampr, along with front crank seal and NOS water pump/crank pulleys on my M1008. Like you, my balancer/crank pulley had a wobble. Hopefully it was worth the $$$, and also helps correct some of the belt issues I was having (early indications look good).
Why risk leaving anything hooked up. Completely remove the battery cables (all of them). It take a hot second, and is definitely the safe route. I have never welded on vehicles with the battery connected, and I certainly won't start now. :)
