I have a transfer case valve sticking and dumping air into the intake and was thinking (dangerous right) if it might be a good idea to add air tool oil into the air system. I empty the air tanks after every use and have very very little to no moisture coming out of the tanks. Is this a good or...
Thanks, I looked in the TM and it didnt show the shear pin, it showed and listed everything else. Thankfully a member here got me fixed up with one enroute. I attempted to remove the broke one this evening, shear pin 1, me 0.....lol
Thats what I was thinking it was some type of alloy with it a silver pin but didnt know if a grade 5 bolt would be safe to use temporarily. Eastern surplus has this one https://www.easternsurplus.net/PartDetails/5975/9m-867-Rear-Winch-Shear-Pin-Wrecker-drag-winch-M543A2-M816-M936 but it looks...
What are some safe options to replace a broken shear pin on the rear main winch? Would a grade ? bolt work as a replacement or ? This was the 1st time Ive ever put a load on it and the drum stopped moving completely. I got under there and saw the hyd motor would turn but the coupler was...

Thanks
Thanks, I'm going with an amazon option like the ABN chinesium option. I like to keep them in the truck boxes and I dont lock the boxes so budget is better
I didn't think about the warranty, when the weld around the tube broke I rewelded it and I will have to check and see that may have voided the warranty. As far a price I gave 100 bucks for it many years ago, and would like to stay around that range. I would think my 220lb arsh wouldn't be able...
I used my brand new geared lug wrench on some lugs that a 1" impact destroyed sockets on. It worked great until the weld POPPED and broke, on the last 2 on the wheel. I welded it back together, then on the last one it is a twisted pretzel now. it will still work but done know for how much...
I've searched the classified ads and didn't see anything. I thought about cutting a good link and connecting it together and welding it back but am not sure about the welding heat making that link weak, I wish I could find a hammerlock type but haven't found anything large enough
I have one of the Big Military chains and have almost pulled a link into. I have been searching for a 3/4"x3" lap link or. Is there such a thing? Or is a complete replacement chain in order?
Thanks
You will have to drill out the other side (currently undrilled) to be able to drive the pins out to allow rebuild. Once disassembled inspect and make sure no unusual gouges or nothing is broken. At this point either the Orings will be broke, or using a oring pick remove the orings and you will...
