    Burma Jeep, Ford GTB, G622

I found a seat base on Ebay. Just out of the blue. The guy selling it didn't know what it was and I didn't either, it looked like it would work. The canvass I got from the canvass mfg fit it perfectly. Now, I have a rear seat frame I'd bought to cut down that is for a GPW or MB. If you know...

    Burma Jeep, Ford GTB, G622

I have 4 tires that I've taken off mine. I bought new ones for the outside appearance but I also intend to drive mine quite a bit. The ones I took off are dry rotted some, some cracks but not too serious. I could have used them but I figured if I were going to drive it a lot then I'd rather...

    Burma Jeep, Ford GTB, G622

It depends on it's use. My Burma jeep has a cargo bed and was in the army so it is lusterless OD green of WW2 color. It's engine is the same grey that was used in Ford GPW or in other words too the tractor grey of the time. If you need paint numbers I can get them for you.

    Burma Jeep, Ford GTB, G622

Burma jeep needs I am near completion on my restoration. My engine seems to be different than all the photos I see. The distributor on mine is on the side, making the search for the top tube the spark plug wires use not necessary. But it's rebuilt anyhow and looks good. I need to find...

    Ford GTB Burma Jeep

I have been at my Burma Jeep for about 2 months. Lovely vehicle, love it so simple yet so well put together, and don't forget ugly. It's so ugly it's cute. Right now, I need to find out what was the original color of the engine? I've been told a light green and then grey as well. I would...

Dumb question about using gas in multifuel diesel

Seems like everyone has discussed the gasoline enough. So, I will add a little on plain motor oil. About 3 years ago I bought a filteration system that filters down the motor oil drained from the engine. It is removed from the crank case into a pan, there is a line to the fuel tank and to...

    MVPA 2012 Alaska Highway Convoy

On the passport thing. We run trucks up to Canada all the time, each truck driver has to have his own passport. Has been that way for a couple of years now. Does anyone know for sure about the firearms? I mean really, not just I think it's this way?

    A2 axle flip??

A pro is, lower center of gravity, thereby huggin the road better. It is also easier about loading (usually). A con is,,,they can be a bitch about getting in and out for fuel or on uneven surfaces. The tail will drag much easier, causing scraping when you leave an elevated fuel station...

    Road trip to Alaska

:driver:I think this would be the trip of a life time. I am really considering it, but I would trailer my MV to the starting point. It would be nice if there were somewhere to leave the trailer and tow truck. Need advice, which to take. M151A1 w/trailer, M38A1 w/trailer, or Burma Jeep...

I bought a Burma Jeep, Ford GTB

Info on the GTB...I have a quote for labor to overhaul engine and install hardened valve seats, it is $1000.00 and the guy is a top rated mechanic. Total parts are $1800.00 if I get new pistons $1400.00 if not. I was quoted $5600.00 and change from Jasper so this looked pretty good to me. I...

    Ford GTB Burma Jeep

pass seat gtb I just bought a seat from Beachwood Canvass. They sold me a seat that would go in the back of a GPW or MB and explained that it was the same thing except it would have to be cut down. It was very pricy, but there's no alternative that I have found...

I bought a Burma Jeep, Ford GTB

Ran accross your Bruma Jeep,,,what can I say? Anyhow, I got in the Burma Jeep business last Nov. and bought a pretty nice one, mostly together. However, mine was not a bomb truck but a cargo truck. I was told by a knowledgebale old dude that the cargo truck bed is the same that a 1 1/2 Chevy...
