What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

I just replaced mine that saw no use in the rain at all. Just fell off in the driveway. I to went to O'rielly and walked out because all except the over $30 made in USA trico were made in China. I ended up with Autozone's cheepest at 8 each. At least they were made in Mexico.

    Rotted vacuum hose?

Ended up being 3 different sizes. I bought 5/32 Inch, 3/16 Inch and 3/8 Inch. The 3/16 was too tight but I was able to force in on. Probably should have been 7/32 inch. Gates part numbers, 27042, 27001 and 27004. I got 4 feet of the 5/32 and 1 foot of the others and had a lot left over.

    Rotted vacuum hose?

My vacuum hoses and part #9 (adapter) are rotten. My question is can the hoses be run directly into the regulator bypassing the adapter? Anyone know what size hose and how much I need? And what about 2 through 6, can that be left out also?

Glow plug relay output voltage & manual button hold duration

I spent the afternoon getting mine running again. Eight working glow plugs is a heavy load. I measured about 10.5 volts at the relay that increased past 11 as they heated up. My problem turned out to be the part the relay moves in the injection pump was stuck. My battery is getting old, but if...

    New to the M1009

https://www.ebay.com/itm/303901759807?hash=item46c1f4d93f:g:WxEAAOSwSQ1gOnCd Any locksmith or just about anybody who makes keys. A usable frame with a title is worth keeping. There are plenty of parts trucks out there without a title due to the pain in the ass way GL and other agency make you...

    New to the M1009

All CUCVs have the same key unless it has been changed with one of the many other "upgrades". Ignition & Door Keys are a "B" blank and the code is 73Y2. Do you have a title for this "project"?

Change in mississippi tag process 7-1-2021

Just got back from turning in my B20 and getting a B10. Here is the after action report. The girl behind the counter repeated several times that a new law was passed and they are just doing what they are told. She confirmed that this is all about People running B16s on new pickups and not paying...

Change in mississippi tag process 7-1-2021

After a couple of hours poking around the internet I think I have found the problem. It is all about tax collections. Apparently a B16 or bigger is a lot cheaper to buy than a POV tag for new pickup trucks. Here is the most informative link I have found so far. I find it irritating that I was...

Did you ever hear back from your guy. I haven't heard back from my representative that helped me with my antique tag.

Change in mississippi tag process 7-1-2021

I have always thought the same thing. At first I was happy because it was going to save me some money. The only problems I see is they say I can't have a B20, that I must surrender the one I have, and they plan to sell me a B10 not a POV tag. And I just bought a new trailer to move my...

Change in mississippi tag process 7-1-2021

I don't trust them to know what it is based on. They pretty much said they don't know why they are just doing what Jackson told them to do. The people making these decisions probably drive a prius. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

Change in mississippi tag process 7-1-2021

I recently mailed in my tag renewal for my 3/4 ton pickup. I have been running a B20 tag which is an appropriated tag for 20000 pounds. This truck is used to transport my green addiction from place to place. In the past the state has stated you had to buy a tag big enough to cover your total...

Moving S250 shelter with Transporter Airmobile Model 4003 Mobilizer

Well it all makes sense now. One picture is all it takes. Sounds like the adapter is built into all airmobile shelters.

Moving S250 shelter with Transporter Airmobile Model 4003 Mobilizer

For some reason the picture didn't come through on tapatalk and I am just now seeing it on my desktop. Is that the only shelter the 4003 is disigned to carry? Seems pretty useless if that is the case. What are those called?

Moving S250 shelter with Transporter Airmobile Model 4003 Mobilizer

From the TM: " Purpose: The mobilizer is used to transport an electronic equipment shelter used to house a working system, and has a maximum payload capacity of 4000 pounds. It is designed for highway operation. A shelter adapter kit is used to provide attachment points on the shelter for...
