    5.9 cummins in M1009

You can fit a mechanical fan w/out much trouble if you're careful. Fitting an intercooler is a little tougher though. ;) EDIT: also, search "mcinfantry".. he had a 4bt/NV4500 in his M715, and he did alright... but he was also on 38's, and if I remember, shifted a lot. :D

    m1008 or m1028?

All CUCV's with 14 bolts have a Detroit in the back. M1028's have a limited slip in the front. :D Also, the NP208 is a fine case, though I would swap it for a 241 if it craps out. The NP 205 is pretty tough, but the design of a chain case is totally different from a gear drive case, the loads...

    Who wants a few CUCVs.......

That shows how messed up you are, Elmo. :D Let's see... stumpy Dodge tug v. locked, geared truck with actual useful truck beds. Hmmmmmm Sure would be nice to have that Cummins in the CUCV's though. :D

    turbo 400 trans trouble

Sounds to me like you're going to need a new tranny. The good news is that TH400's are fairly cheap to have rebuilt.

    front brake lines leaking

Rubber flex lines are USUALLY pretty easy to change, but use flare wrenches or else. And if your junk is all rusty and East Coast, you should maybe plan on redoing them all anyway. www.ck5.com has got some decent threads on replacement brake lines from Inline Tube, LMC, SBC, etc.

SX's rock, but last about 4 minutes on the street. :(

H1's on dually hubs. No go!

Re: RE: Re: RE: H1 Just the SHIPPING was $254. The rims, runflats, and tires were another $300. So... about $104 per wheel, which I can be happy with. :D The tread is great! 5 of the 7 are nearly new, one IS new, and the other has some feathering on the inside edge. :D

    20 plus mpg 715

Not 20mpg. Hell, the stock GM trucks didn't even get that. I call shenanigans.

    Deuce trans adapting

I think you should call Tom. :D

H1's on dually hubs. No go!

RE: Re: RE: H1 This guy is in KS. It was $254 to ship 725# of tires and pallet to UT. :D Of course, I got them shipped to SLC, and you're in east nowhere, VA, so your shipping might cost ya. :D

H1's on dually hubs. No go!

Re: RE: H1 Yeah, that is on the work truck-- just to see what the dually hub deal looks like. Obviously, that is not going to work LOL They're going on my Blazer, which is getting a 4" lift soon.

H1's on dually hubs. No go!

Re: RE: H1 I hate flares. :D Do you need a set of H1's? Get them from the guy I got them from-- 406YJ on pirate, in the vendors section. He let me keep 3 8-bolts when he sent me the wrong ones-- stack of 4 w/radials, first one had the right 12bolt rim, other 3 were 8. So he told me to keep...

H1's on dually hubs. No go!

So. I've got my H1's, and a spare set of dually hubs, which I would have liked to use, but they stick the tire too far out. 1. Won't pass inspection 2. Looks ghetto as hell 3. Will probably smush the fender when flexed. (these are going on my Blazer trail rig. :D)
