my m1009 started last week at-20 without being pluged in. gear reduction starter made it spin alot faster

Budy of mine did this he burnt the tranny up in less then a week. torque converter and govener in tranny need to be chaged to gas engine. tranny shop told him the torque converter and the govener for the diesel are made fore lower rpm's than the gas ones.

bolts What is the difference from the 84,85 bolt and the 86 bolt? I see there are two part #s for the bolts. I thought they were the same bolts.

block heater Block heaters are the best. Get the 1000 watt block heater and A 150 watt stick on oil pan heater and you are good to go. I put this on my truck and at -25 the glow plug light came on for 3 to 5 sec. and it started right up.
