on my M945A1 bridge truck it wouldnt work because of the air brakes. I used the spacer and studs from the front axle so i could use hemmet wheels so they looked the same as front
hub to hub is 78 inches and mount the wheels flipped with 16's should add at least 12 to 13 inches to each side making the truck too wide!!! the bridge truck axles are at 8 to 10 inches wider than other 5 ton trucks. end of axle shaft to end of axle shaft is 95 inches
i got the back tires off and the rear hub setup looks different from a 900 truck to a 800 truck and was wondering if anybody has flipped the hubs on the 945 bridge truck any help would be great. thanks
I am from Sheyenne between Jamestown and Devils Lake. Last spring i got a tranny, t-case, front diff, front springs, front and rear winches and some drive shaft parts. I have 84 and 86 1008, M51 dump, M945 getting bobbed and lube and service trailer.
Justin i measured my wheel base at 156 inches, i see where my brake problem is, on the 925 the axle housing is shorter than the bridge truck, from the brake flange to center of springs is 12 1/2 inches on mine. good luck tonite!!! Kurt
