^So Finally got a new ( rebuilt) IP. Installed it and starts right up has way better snap to it but now blows black at wot? Im thinking I may need injectors still cause it runs a bit rough. could the HH be off from the rest of the pump? I assume those marks should line up to when installing it.
It's getting full throttle. I was going to pull my HH today just for fun. As I started noticed that one of the four bolts were loose. So I tighten it, so I think. It was stripped in the ip and sucking air if i got down clise and listened under 3/4- full throttle. So new ip it is. Again thanks...
It goes up to 50-60 psi going down the road. Though there is no good snap to the engine anymore. I'm going to check the timing and then I think next step is to get an inj pump rebuild kit.
Sitting here w the pressure gauge in it ( which I may install ) its around 7 psi w switch on, 15psi at idle, and goes up to 70 psi at wot except takes a while to rev up
The pressure was just the in tank pump. I took the fitting off going into the HH from the filters and put a gauge on there. I will try one inline there I guess tomm. What should the pressures be and where?
So quick update. Have 7psi where main line goes into HH. What has me concerned is that on the back of the IP there are two fittings with just loops of hose going back into itself. I'll try and get a pic posted soon.
That was my next step to just replace all the primary fuel lines just so I don't have to worry. I don't see any air in the lines but I'll pry just replace the lines when I check the pressures hopefully later today. Thanks everyone for the quick responses!
Yes all three filters, cleaned what little was on the screen on intank pump all lines are good and tight. Brakes arent hung up and seems to break up like sucking air or lack of fuel when going down road. Where should I check fuel press? After secondary fuel filters Id assume. Something doesnt...
I pulled the intank pump and replaced that rubber line no gunk or anything. I have to get a gauge to check my pressures. I brought the injectors to shop I used to work at they bench tested them for me and said they were good.
So after some searchin and lots of diagnostics and replacement Im at a loss. The truck will start normally and at a stand still run right up to 2500 rpm easily. If I try going down the road it breaks up and has no power. I replaced all the filters ( spin-ons), in tank hose, and all the plastic...
It took me about 3 gals total to paint mine. Getting the best coverage on everything without completely taking it apart. I did the inside olive drab though.
The guy I talked to had his 5 ton set up like a camper and mentioned nauset I was going to get a sandy neck sticker but so many are going there with Dennis beaches being so up in the air. Sandy neck is pretty rocky actually. I wanna try **** whats the worse that can happen? You talking about...
Yeah Treeguy thats me. Flat black all around..... was hauling 30 leland cyprus from the whoe sale nursery in falmouth to yarmouth for my brother. Ill be at the car show this year too bad you wont be. I met a guy with a 5 ton from the lower cape at the otis open house. It would great to get a...
Im from the cape I know Im bringing my Deuce to the fathers day car show in Hyannis sunday. Last year there was another one there and few other MVs. I wish there was a group close.
I pulled out the stock battery box after needing to replace both batt and welded in my own trya and made my own hold down that used the stock cables. There is also room for another batt if I decide in the future to add a 12v side.
I think its pry just more efficent and fan only uses 2.4 mps. Where its mounted in the cab puts out a lot of heat. If I had shift boots and a hard top im sure it would be even better
