    36x12.50 Wrangler R/T II Tires

The trick with mounting square tires I bet is finding square rims to put them on....:)

quick question: what's the stock bed hieght on a deuce?

Seriously, I can't find it anywhere in specs or dimensions on the m35a2. How high is the deck of the bed on a stock deuce? I'm doing some scheming I worried it's too high for my plans... Thanks. Sorry if this is a stupid question - most folks on SS could just go out and measure :)

Wanted: pictures and/or dimensions of deuce without bed

Thanks for the thread links - that's what I needed!! I tried searching the forums but never turned up anything really useful. Those were perfect links. Now that I've scratched my head raw with thinking, I may have to actually start doing some work on my truck. I like the idea of fab'ing the...

Wanted: pictures and/or dimensions of deuce without bed

Change in plans anyway. I just bought a hydraulic setup from an old dump truck. I got a pump, reservior, and big 3-stage cylinder for $150. Sounded like a good deal to me. So plans are now to use a single cylinder in the middle, squeezed in between all those frame cross members.... not sure...

Wanted: pictures and/or dimensions of deuce without bed

I bet it makes a huge difference if you had the fold down sides. I don't - I have the hard sides and troop seats. When I have a chance I'll measure the subframe rails and calculate just how strong they are or aren't.... Does anyone reading this know what size C-channel they are and how thick...

Wanted: pictures and/or dimensions of deuce without bed

I think the subframe rails of the bed are plenty strong. I've been told the bed decking is the weak link. I'm designing for 5-tons, which isn't really a lot of weight for a dump truck. But I haven't checked the math on the strength of the subframe rails... I'll post it if I do. One of the...

Wanted: pictures and/or dimensions of deuce without bed

Ok, so I havn't received any help yet as far as no-bed pictures.... :( but I have figured a few things out since the last post. There is about 7-inches clear between the inside dual stock wheel and the frame rail. More than enough for a 3" bore cylinder on each side. So here's a picture of my...

Wanted: pictures and/or dimensions of deuce without bed

I'm planning my dump bed conversion... I wonder if anyone could post pictures of deuces without the bed on? The more, the better. I'm not going the typical scavenged hoist route - I'll be puting regular cylinder(s) in instead. Right now I'm figuring the angles, pressures, capacities, etc...

I bought a Deuce in Eastover, SC

Well fine, if you want to be pessimistic about it (or maybe realistic). I sure hope the hubs don't come off that easy though! I had my brakes overheat on a truck once - not fun, especially when the fluid boiled and i lost them all. Thank God for a good e-brake. I've just been weighing $1,200...

I bought a Deuce in Eastover, SC

That would be awesome! They say since this is my first EUC it could take a while... I'm guessing I might not be able to pick my truck up until October. Have you bought anything out of this site before? - Jamie

I bought a Deuce in Eastover, SC

Ah, the voice of reason. I suppose that's probably good advice. But it's only about 530 miles - what's the worst that could happen? Besides no brakes on 13,000 pounds in the hills of West Virginia.......

I bought a Deuce in Eastover, SC

Ok, so it appears I have jumped in.... I bought a deuce in Eastover from gov liquidation. it's my first. Looks great in the photos, but "unknown" running condition. Site manager Tim has no further info for me. 2320 - Trucks & Truck Tractors, Wheeled at Government Liquidation I'd love to...
