    Trans/T-case mount report

I replaced my old dented crossmember with a used one just like it. Also replaced the mounts. My m1028 uses the C style trans/t-case mounts that are sold in 2 different pieces. Check which type you have, there are a few different ones depending on your trans to t-case adapter and crossmember...

    TH400 filter change

I decided to change the filter to see if it change the harsh shifting my TH400 had. It was never bad enough to bother me, but it was a noticeable 'clunk' between gears. I read somewhere this can be caused by a dirty filter. A new filter from napa comes with an o-ring, pan gasket, and filter for...

    Doghead relay...oops

I didn't realize I didn't need the relay since I have a 12 volt truck. I was wondering why it wasn't working... since I've already come this far, can I still wire it to work? Or have I really messed up...

    Glow plug relay question

Before anyone jumps down my throat to search, I have. Thats how I got this far. I used the attached picture as my guide. The relay functions as it should. It clicks on and off when I press my glow plug button. I have 12 volts at the top, and 12 volts to the two smaller posts with the key in the...

    Glow plug module removal

I installed a manual switch and figured I would pull the card and sell it to someone who would use it. From reading the TM it looks like it should just pull right out, I removed the end cap and reefed on it pretty hard and it wouldn't budge. Am I missing something painfully obvious here? I'd...

    Oil filter

Decided its about time for an oil change, and decided to try the NAPA 1092 filter. Got home and was caught a little off guard when I opened the box, looks like a tin can with holes in it. I've only ever used the Fram filters from Wal-mart on my vehicles, looks a bit different. Is this still the...

    Stumped...

My blower motor never worked, decided to replace it. Replaced my blower motor, I get power to the plug that goes onto the motor itself...nothing. Doesn't turn on at all. Is it a bad ground? Where is the blower motor grounded? :lost:

    Did something stupid today

I was being careless today, brain wasn't on. Needed to change a blinker bulb on the passenger side so I went and removed the battery, tray, etc. Well, I should have remembered to disconnect BOTH batteries, because the positive touched the heater assembly and fried the blower motor. I would be...

    Weird sound, normal?

I noticed when I park on an incline, the truck makes a weird sound. Not sure how to describe it. Its almost like a mix between a sucking sound, and a whining sound... if that makes sense. Also hard to tell exactly where it comes from, seems to come from everywhere. What the heck is it?

    Well theres your problem!

Took my truck in to get some fuel leaks fixed and to get the brakes inspected. They noticed some wobble in the tire, turns out all FOUR bearings were shot! Maybe my death wobble will go away now

    My CUCV

Id like to know where to hook up sending units for engine temperature and oil pressure, I don't like not being able to see that. Also want to make sure that when I go crossover, will any 1985 2wd box work? Thanks.
