Is this the neutral bonding jumper thats disconnected from ground?. It is smaller than the wire on the back of the L0 lug .If so I leave it off for a 4 wire setup and use no ground rod at the generator
Most excellent reply sir. You have convinced me to forget automating the process and better yet stick with the mep-003A I have. It is trailer-mounted and has the ASK kit on it so it's not terribly noisy. Now all I have to do is plug it in and test the 5 yr old setup.

Also if I was to purchase a Generac small standby propane generator say a 17 kw to power this panel would that be overkill for this panel and would a 17k run ok on my 330 gal propane...
The electrician installed the panel, I got it inspected and it has never been tested with a generator. I am looking to do that now.

Correct. Appliances are gas and ac/ heat units are mini splits in parts of the house. I only am concerned with running the well and mini splits and tv computer, fridges and small stuff. Only 2 people live here so we're good with 125 A. And thanks for looking. I got it with the Mep003 's output...
I set mine up about 5 years ago and I think I followed this or a similar thread somewhere. I just went out and looked at the generator and I have the neutral wire loose and taped off and it's in the shop so no ground rod attached. Never did. have that. I have a 4 wire #6 100 ft so cable going...
