These trucks have a history of the fuse boxes going bad. They get a high resistance connection between the fuse and the holder and result in a melted fuse box. It would be a good thing to check.

You really need to check to see what type of fluid is in the system prior to adding new fluid. I've been at bases where the CUCVs were changed over to DOT 3, but they were always marked as such.

I plumbed in a tank out of another 1031. I just took the brackets and hardware and mounted it right above the factory tank. It looks like it came that way.

I might not have remembered anything else, but I sure remember the $80 part.
The zip tie broke loose and the wires were ripped out of the sender. They sure could have located it in a better location.

Mine (and all that I've seen) has one switch to show PTO engagement and one sensor for speed. The sensor I need has two wires while the switch only has one wire.

The part number looked right to me. Did you get a set of rear springs too? If so, what part number? Also, did it lift it high enough to cause problems with anything like the drive shaft etc.?
Thanks for keeping track of the #s and posting up the results!

Thanks for the reply. I went on the auto parts warehouse site and found their "John R. Springs", but I'm not too sure which ones to get. I found the John R. Spring Co. website and sent them an email asking their advise.

PM sent with a source and part number. It should help get you going in the right direction. Since OD measured the plug at 1.496", I'd go with the 1.5" plug. I can't see it costing more than a dollar for the plug, but I'd go ahead and change the u-joint since you will have it apart.
Hope...
