    You should edit your title to: Hard to Remove from Park, after ignition switch install. Did you c/o the Ignition Electrical Switch down on the lower column, or the mechanical Key tumbler? The Shifter Interlock is mechanical, inside the column. The Mech ignition switch activates a rod going...

    Repairing a blackout light

    Instead of drilling the hole, you could... Heat up the old wire while holding slight tension on it... when the solder becomes soft, the wire will pull free and leave behind a pre-tinned hole.

    No on the instrument cluster, although I have read that if the bulb for GEN2 is expired, then the alt loses contact w/ the battery? also, the strip you speak of near the P Brake, I haven't been to it yet as it is raining here, but that sounds like a good place to start... the "Upper"...
