    Turret without a hardtop?

I slapped a MG3 turret on the standard aluminum rails, I've run a 1919 on it for real steel (shown is airsoft stuff). Works fine for me so far.

    British Vehicle mechanic

Wow old thread lol. I actually bought a HMMWV from David, haven't talked to him about a mechanic yet. At this point I am just going to get some small things done and sell off the Ferrets. I hurt my back shortly after posting this and every time I try to do anything on something armored it just...

HMMWV Doors - Hard or Soft?

Someone had a thread either on here or g503 regarding the ability if various hard doors to stop various. IIRC the results were not impressive.

    Trailer it ... what trailer?

Do you happen to have a pic of your rear tie downs, I've done heavier loads but had more room and never used ratchet straps. The rear you look to use binders and chains.

Air Force One and Marine One

Since I live in fund raising central we see Marine One all the time. It usually has a couple Osprey with it as well and always two Sea Kings. If you are ever in So Cal hit up the Reagan Presidential Library here in Simi. It has a former AF One and Marine one as well as a replica of the Oval...

    HMMWV Barstow recovery 6/25/2015

I was surprised about the uhaul trailer too, both width and weight bit I checked the uhaul site and it is all within spec. Weight max is 5290lb on the trailer.

Which APC is Right for Me?

FV432 are "relatively" trivial to get and should fit the need well. Stormers and the like would also be good but more expensive. M75 APC are pretty easy to find, they are bigger of course but should hit the M113 close if you want to scratch it. British scorpion is a AFV not an APC but are also...

Hard to reach nut/washer install on four man soft top kit

(Apologies for another novice question) For the C pillar support piece you drill 2 9/32" holes into the inside corner of the wheel housing and use 2 phillips head screws, 4 washers and one nut and attach the support to the wheel housing. On the passenger side the fuel filler is in the way of...

My HMMWV part acquisition of the day

Yeah this guy was going to put on his 4x4 but needed cash. It did have the quick disconnect mounts and straps.
