    Engine temp

    I just installed a gauge, not a sending unit. I think I'll flush the coolant system and try again. If it's still running hot, I'll get a new sending unit. Thank you VERY much everybody.

    What's the average coolant temp for the Hercules LDS-465? Just got my temp gauge working today on my '67 A2, and the needle is reading about 230° while driving. My other engines (all gasoline, and obviously different) run around 180° so I was a little concerned. Thoughts? I didn't see anything...

    I read through the lubrication TM. Are there torque specs for the drainage bolts? I didn't see any in the TM. If not I guess I'll just make it PFT.

    Gauges

    The temperature gauge in my '67 M35A2 is bad. I'm not 100% sure if it's the gauge, the sensor, or both. Where can I get a complete setup (sensor, cable, and gauge)? Thanks!

    Just bought a 1967 Kaiser M35A2 w/ a Hercules LDT 465 4D multifuel. I have the technical manual, but can't seem to find specs for oil anywhere. I was planning on changing the oil today, but don't know how much it takes. Put Shell Rotella 15w-40 in my pickup... Will that weight work for this...
