do you have any idea how much tongue weight would be for one that's empty? I would like to weld up a tongue stand before I go pick it up but don't know how heavy I need to make it.
Hey everyone,
I'm picking up a truck/trailer on Friday. The seller had an m105 that he offered to me for a fair price so I chose to purchase it. The trailer has bows, sideboards and a tarp that could probably stand to be replaced. My main question is this: the trailer is missing the front jack...
Hey everyone,
I'm picking up a m818 and a m105 this weekend. I'm going to put some sort of a ladder rack or cross bar system to hold our kayaks. Just curious if anyone has any ideas that they would like to share? I'm also thinking about maybe putting a rack on the back of the truck for now...
I would like to follow where your camper set up goes. So many people are doing different things with these trailers. It's really cool to see everyones ideas.
Andy we are in StL a couple times a year because my wife is from there. She says she wants to move back there one day. I think if she went with me to your place she would change her mind. You would be a bad influence on me. :) ......seriously I would love to see what all you have. I'll...
Just thought I would ask if there were any members in the Memphis area? I didn't know if anyone would want to meet up and check out everyones rides?.?.?.?.?.?
Thanks for the heads up. I guess it couldn't hurt to post it up first. I had back surgery 3 months ago and really don't need to be wrestling something that big/heavy at home without help or the right equipment.
I think I will probably end up removing more of the hardware for the 5er and then carry it to a scrap yard to offload it. I'll probably keep the ramps in case I have a use for them in the future but I do not see any reason why I would need to keep the 5er .
Hey everyone,
I'm going to be looking to remove a 5th wheel assembly from a m818 and going back with a flatbed. I'm curious if anyone has an idea of what the actual 5th wheel assembly weighs? I tried searching on here and google but haven't found any info on how much it weighs.
actually it's your truck that made me want to do this!!!! I've found a deuce bed locally for $800 and will likely go that way. They said they would set it on the truck for me so I would have to bolt it down and drive it home.
that's what I was asking. If I find a deuce bed can I go get it put on the truck(at the sellers) drive it home with the overhang then trim the rear when I get home with it. I would think I could take out the wheel wells of a 105 bed.....wonder if anyone has tried that before.
Hey everyone,
I bought an 818 tractor tonight and have a question regarding putting a bed on it. I would like to put a short bed on it like is in this picture
What would be the most economical solution for getting a bed on the truck? Would a 105 bed work and I remove the fender wheel wells...
Thanks 25. I was on the ladder when my disc ruptured and then I fell to the ground. I didn't fall and rupture my back.....still each time I work on the trailer it's always on my mind to watch my step.
I purchased a beat up m416 last fall and have been working on it over the fall/winter. I fell from the trailer in October and had to have emergency back surgery for a bilaterally ruptured disc in my back. I am also picking up a M101a trailer next week and am planning on leaving it as close to...
yeah I would prefer to drive it but the last two times I tried that I got burned. I bought a motorcycle and when I got out there it wasn't safe to even put on the road. More recently I bought an old Jeep and flew out to drive home what was suppose to be a "pristine" Jeep......needless to say I...
hey everyone,
I am looking at a possibly purchasing a Deuce and am looking both at some listed on craigslist/on this board and also on govliquidation. My question is if I find one and have to get it shipped does anyone have an idea of what a shipper would charge per loaded mile given say a...
Thanks for the help. I also registered today on Govliquidation.com and have started looking on there. My big hesitation with that is I will have to purchase based on pictures and not seeing it in person. Is that how most everyone buys these? I am also trying to determine if it would be advisable...
Hey everyone,
I've been a long term lurker here and have an M416 trailer that I have been putting together. I don't know why but I just want a Deuce. My wife thinks I'm nuts but for some reason I am really drawn to them. I am an avid kayaker so it would be great for hauling lots of gear for...
