What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Mounted a 20 inch light bar on the grill of my '09. I had to trim the light bracket a bit, it's a tight fit in there. http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/ss251/soldierman79/20150125_161547_zps1f3a2543.jpg

    Driveline Vibration...very specific

I gotta go with u-joints if it was squeaking while backing up. I had to replace my u-joints a couple months back. The only indication that something was amiss was that squeaking. There was no clunk or vibration. Took the u-joints out and one of them didn't even have needle bearings anymore...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Yea,I wished they had them in OD. It was a choice between the Tan or Black. I like the way this one looks though.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Not a sound from it, not even at highway speeds. This thing mounts TIGHT! And the entire thing weighs less than 30lbs. That's a lot of weight off my truck.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

I took the hardtop off at the beginning of summer and have enjoyed going topless. Fall is approaching so I began looking at new seals for the hardtop. Well, some how that turned into me looking at soft tops. Next thing I knew my credit card was in my hand and I was receiving email confirmation...

I did the same to my 1009. Haven't regretted it one bit.

    I Need a Voltmeter Gauge for a CUCV M1009 1985

Here's a question (possibly a stupid one). If my CUCV has been converted to 12V, would removing the resistor and replacing with a jumper wire, will the voltmeter work again? Go easy on me if it is, indeed, a stupid question. ;)

Anyone put a roof rack on a M1009?

After much thought one way or the other, I put a rack on mine. Glad I did. I love it! http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/ss251/soldierman79/IMG_20131219_135052_zps82287523.jpg http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/ss251/soldierman79/IMG_20131219_135104_zps9f7a562a.jpg...

    Power steering to manual

My power steering box on my M1009 has developed a leak around the steering shaft. I already bought the seal and will most probably fix it soon. But, If I were to convert it to manual steering it would eliminate the power steering pump drawing down on the engine (yes, I realize it is a...

    Leaking Fuel Pump

Well, got the electric fuel pump installed and wired up. Put a new fuel filter (really easy to bleed with the electric pump). Truck started up and ran great! In fact, she seemed to start easier and had a little more pep in her step.

    Leaking Fuel Pump

Dangit! I already bought it and have it mostly installed. Thanks for the heads up! I'll keep an eye on it. I've done the 12v conversion on this CUCV, I purchased the 12v fuel pump. How long did it last until it burned up?

    Leaking Fuel Pump

I'm looking at this thread; http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?76287-Electric-fuel-pump-recommendation Looks like I may go with the Airtex E8153 Electric Fuel Pump instead of replacing the manual lift pump.

    Leaking Fuel Pump

Cranked up the M1009 yesterday and went back inside to let her warm up. When I came back out there was a small puddle of diesel fuel on the driveway. It appears to be coming from the center seam in the fuel pump, from what I can tell. So, before I replace it, I wanted to ask y'all what you...
