Move bobbed deuce from Alabaster, Alabama to Kissimmee, Florida

Hi guys, I decided to uproot and move to Florida. But my bobbed Deuce isn't exactly ready for the miles I'd put on her to get her to Kissimmee. Anyone do truck hauling that travels there? If not, does anyone suggest a company to haul it and possible cost? Thanks Cam

Deuce boot change or inner seam as well?

Hey guy. I am by no means a mechanic. And I was wondering how to tell if the inner seal is good or needs replaced when I do my dry rotted boot. Lack of gear oil in the cv area enough to justify leaving it alone?

    Deuce dies uphill

Talked with another deuce owner who has driven that hill. It is definitely my driving that was the problem. He has to downshift and up the rpm well before I tried. Now I know. Thanks guys for putting up with my silly question.

    Deuce dies uphill

This is where I should've read up more on diesels. Sounds like it's my technique rather then mechanical issues then?

I'LL be traversing this hill every time I drive her now that I've moved. So, stalling is no bueno.

    Deuce dies uphill

Mike, I downshifted and punch it. Then she recovered after some more sputtering for like 2 seconds. I kept the pedal to the floor to get her up the hill after that.

    Deuce dies uphill

I would say I saw 5 to 7 mph on the speedo as she started to stall. She was going more lIke 20 before the slope change. In hind sight, yes, I was still in high range. Steepest on road hill ive ever seen. Lmbo. Goes from 20 to about 35 degrees half way up the hill where she slowed and sputtered.

    Deuce dies uphill

The last time I ended up with air in every injector and she wouldn't start back up. This time I pegged the pedal and got her to recover.

    Deuce dies uphill

Gimpyrobb, Full tank if road diesel. 35 degree incline. 3rd gear. Runs great on flat ground. M35a2. As it stalled I believe I was at 5 mph. Fuel filter should be about 4.5 years old with 600 miles on them.

    Deuce dies uphill

So, I was driving my deuce bobber home from getting a full bumper put on the back and she stalls out going up a steep hill to my place. This is the second time a hill has stalled her out. Suggestions on what to look for? I'm not very diesel inclined yet.

Cut approximately 1.5 feet off of the frame. Going to reinstall the bumperettes and trailer hitch. But after grinding off one side of the rivets holding the former rear of the frame together, i can't seem to pry the pieces apart. LOL.
