It happens every few years, if the Jet Stream changes our we get a change in the ocean currents we can get “warm” winter conversely if we get an exceptionally cold fall and the ocean freezes early we can have a low snow year as well .
the last few years we have broke records for snowfall ...
I don’t have anything currently to load it but I’m working on that lol.
The Horn is probably going to be removed and possibly relocated . As well as the exhaust while functional and well crafted I absolutely hate the look of it.
Ok so I just measured my M35a2 doors and they are not the same size , the guy that gave me the doors I put on the M43 said they were from a M35 but he must have been wrong they are M37 doors or maybe GMC doors?
Thanks! it is very solid, but like the CCKW its not a great candidate for a "correct" restoration so it will get some modern touches to make it more usable but still try to make it stock apperaing as much as possible
Treadlite I had to drag it home no motor or trans , rangerbob Im not sure how active they are anymore I sent an email to them a year or so ago with no response.
Closed cab CCKW's are a little more rare from what I have found, being that there shipping height was taller because of the full cab . if I had to guess Id say this truck most likely never seen any combat but there is a good chance it helped build the Alcan Highway or transported goods on it .
Thanks, I know its not a true restoration but I plan on using it.
The Old man I got it from used it for about 30+ years to build log cabins it has a set of 25Ft "ginpoles"
I will be using it around my place to pick heavy items and I'm in the search for a 40's era Lincoln welder to mount on...
Thanks! Its going to stay pretty much the way it is with a few hidden improvements.
The engine is stuck, the radiator is missing, the brakes do not work and it needs glass all the way around.
but all 10 tires are in excellent shape the frame has not been butchered and it has zero rust all the...
Ugh, braking performance is not measured by the systems ability to "lockup" the tires . You want to slow the wheel as fast as possible WITHOUT locking the wheel to do that you need lots of surface area and a way to disapate heat .
