I just put Dri-Dek in mine, and open them up after driving in the rain. But I store my truck inside so I don't know how great that would work outside. http://www.dri-dek.com/
There is plenty of info on the board about trouble shooting the CTIS system in other threads. The OP of this thread specifically asked that this thread not be used to diagnose CTIS problems, so you should look in those other threads. If you can't get your answers from searching, ask your...
Member JBL http://www.steelsoldiers.com/member.php?34316-JBL did my preview and pick up. He was easy to work with. That was last September, not sure if he's still active.
I would go the route of shipping the CTIS controller to you, instead of renting your hardware out. Otherwise, you'll be called upon for everyone's instillation problems for software, that alone would be a nightmare trying to figure out if it works on Apple Os, WinXP, etc. Ain't nobody got time...
I did a block heater and coolant filter at the same time on my 923A2.

I've owned mine for a year, and drive it when I want. I would not want have it be my only vehicle. If you're not familiar with driving a class A CDL vehicle, it's going to be a steep learning curve of how little other drivers respect something that can squish them. Parking, turning around...
Jeff is a great guy in Sparta that offers services during pick up, but is a great resource if you need help as he is very knowledgeable. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?82687-Fort-McCoy-Services&highlight=jbl
He helped me pick out, as well as pick up, my truck from Sparta.
Oops, you're right. The fourth part is in the kit I linked but I didn't list it. The 4591SCR is the hub seal. This image is from Oshkoshequipment.com where I ordered my kit from:
Thanks, it's good to confirm. I probably won't run it that way too long, if at all. Just good to know I can move it some if I have to. I wouldn't want to depend too much on all the wheel valves to keep my tires up.
Looks like I'll be following the steps in this thread and doing a CTIS seal on my rear axle. I just wanted to add some part numbers and see if any one had updated advice on the procedure before I started. I found a whole kit for this HERE, but in case that link dies here are the part numbers it...
Alright, I have a driver's rear hub seal out. to clarify my symptoms in my first post, ALL my QRV's were leaking, I only thought the front one was. So the system would try to make HWY but the air was escaping out the QRVs. I was able to locate the offending hub by airing all 6 tires up to 70psi...
Thanks for the tips, and after a long phone conversation with Andyrv6av8r I've got somewhere to start. I already have all six tires inflated to 70psi, I did that before I ran out of time to work on it. Andyrv6av8r's suggestion was to unplug the controller and then try to see if it works normally...
I took my bows and tarp off with my pulley/lift system, but somehow angered my CTIS in the process. I'll have to trouble shoot it more later, but right now it seems to be opening the front axle exhaust valve while it's trying to fill to HWY for some reason. The air goes out faster than it can go...
I think my CTIS exhaust valve on the front axle is stuck open, this was the only thread I found that talks about rebuilding the valves when I searched. I have a known front wheel O ring leak, very slow but occasionally it's low enough I get a five flashing lights error because the system tries...
I built it finally, had a lot going on and didn't make the time until now. It works well, but I can see that doing it with a helper would still be easier. Both jobs would be easy, but it would save me all the trips in and out of the truck if I had someone to pull the rope or just watch to make...
Yeah, the tarp is the part I don't want to spend an hour taking on and off by myself. That's why I want a system that incorporates the bows, to keep it in the shape I'll install it in. One thing I'm thinking right now is keeping the tarp from slipping off the frame as I lift it. I can probably...
I do have those, I noticed because some were unlatched and I zip stripped them down. I have a mix of wood and fiberglass where they go into my wood sides, they all seemed loose enough to wiggle easily.
I marked the 2x6's on the top edge so I can put a shallow notch in to receive the bows. I...
I did some searching and found nothing. My 923A2 came with the bows and vinyl cover, and while it's very nice to have that covered space most of the time, sometimes I'd rather use it like a flatbed.
My wife is a reluctant and small soldier B, so I'm thinking I'm going to make something in my...
Today, I found out I left the battery switch on last time I drove my truck. :(
Despite all assurances I could charge my batteries hooked together using a 12v charger as long as I hooked it to a single battery, 2 of my batteries were too dead and "flopped" polarity. At least that is what my...
I did the soapy water and found a wheel valve leak, and a stem o-ring leak and fixed those already. That's why I think it's the rim o-ring. I might try the valve in a bag thing if it gets worse, thanks for the tip. I guess to my original question I should just time it with a stop watch, I can...
