I wanted to do so many things, But I wasted all my daylight admiring her. LOL. FINALLY got my PTO driven generator on the front to produce power. Yay me. I took lots of pics of the whole process and will likely make a writeup on it.
Looking good. I think the real problem you had was the color. The truck must not have liked it and was trying to shed it. She seems much happier in OD. :)
lol. Explosive defecation is cured by an air transfer case. Interesting treatment Dr. Wreakerman. :)
To the original question, If you jack up one of the front wheels and put the truck in gear (without the engine running) and can free spin the wheel, It is not in FWD. You could engage the...
Thanks. I did find the TM. It doesn't say how many to add, it says to add more if the lashing is less than .008 - .012 Funny thing is that I actually remember reading that last year. I guess my brain dismissed it as I didn't have a PTO. Just FYI for anyone else interested it is in...
I recommend the clamps. I fought with my silicon ones for hours. After getting totally aggravated by it, I tried some clamps and they worked great. I only had 2, but made it work. I made the clamp ring barely big enough and it also helped. Mine were not totally clean. I greased it up good...
OK. So I am also in the process of adding a PTO to my truck. I have read the TM for the Transmission TM9-2520-246-34-1.pdf and the one for the Transmission, Transfer case and PTO TM9-2520-246-34P.pdf.
I can't find anything saying to use more than one gasket. I am sure it is because I am...
I used this switch (ok mine was a Hellamarine) and put it in the center hump. I then painted it to match. I disconnected the negative line from the battery and ran it to the switch. I used a cable from the slave connector and ran it from ground to the switch. It works great. Looks great and...
On the rear of the truck there are glad hand hookups for the brakes. Pull the one off for on the drivers side. Also open the valve behind it. It should blow out air web the brakes are pressed only. Also there should be a spring on the brake petal to help it return.
I would open the air hook up on the driver side for the trailer brakes and see if air is coming out. There is also a valve that would need to be opened. If everything is correct there should be no air when no brakes are not pressed. (This is only to test. Don't leave it like this.) Some...
I'm glad you are safe. Deuces are great storm vehicles. I used mine to help block wind and trash from my back porch and then used it to yank a tree down that landed on my power line (Line broke at the pole. Line only went to my house so no chance that it was live.) I love this truck. I just...
Not to bust your bubble. I really hope you got the great mileage you had hoped. But just a side note, the diesel in the tank heats as you drive the truck because the engine heats it and then it travels down the return line to the tank. On a long trip it heats all of the fuel in the tank...
Me too. I was going to try to make something. Not to hijack this, but are both windows supposed to be able to move? I can only move my driver side windows. It moves good now, but I had to tap it with a mallet when I first got it. I hit the other side with a hammer and still no go.
Measure with a volt meter between the negative on the battery and the ground on the lamp with the lamp lit. It doesn't matter which probe you put where and you can just use a wire to extent the negative of the battery. In a perfect world this would be 0 volts. If is is more than a few volts...
