Hi Fellas, I'm located here in Oregon and am wondering if anyone knows of a parts source for my M35A2 that's out here on the West coast. Ordering big items from back East is a killer with shipping fees.......Hoping someone knows of a reliable source! Tanks a bunch!
No Offense as I love these trucks, but I'd but a new as you can 1 ton, and equip it with as lots of what these fellows said, winches, etc, and whatever gear she may need. Also a sat phone in case she gets stuck where there is no coverage to "phone home". All the equipment in the world won't...
I'd be taking I B Profen sandwiches! I've done those 17-20 hr stints behind the wheel, and my hands were stuck to the wheel, and it took a pry bar to get me out of the cab, let alone straighten me up!
I used to run a day boat commercially for salmon and bottom fish............Pinks (or humpies as we called them) are not fit to eat really as King or silver salmon...........They are good for canning, or maybe smoking...........They are the lowest level of salmon, and we considered them trash at...
Congrats! Have you ever been in this part of the country before?? The NW is pretty nice! Bring your rain gear and be ready for several wx changes during the day. We're down here in Oregon and the climate is just about the same, but a lot less traffic!
Welcome from Oregon! Make sure no brake cylinders leak, and that you do "have" brakes.............Air pressure over 65 and if it pegs and stays there, that's a good thing!.......There's so many folks on here with so much good info, just make sure you go thru it before you hit the road so you...
Congrats! I just got mine home from the truck shop last Friday for servicing. It was a 60 mile drive and never missed a gear! I have the same problem w one wiper motor, replacing it. Its worn out and needs to be "retired"! I'm finding new things every day, but like you am thankful and proud to...
Hello! I hear its been pretty cold back there.......It can get like that here often in the winter, so I'm having the heater installed when I her home from servicing. Hopefully sometime next week!
Thank you and nice picture of your truck! I can't seem to figure out how to post mine so that when I post or reply, it'll show up by my name! Oh well, she's still in the shop, hopefully will be bringing her home next week! Is Stanwood up near Olympia? My dad when he was alive was an antique gun...
Thank you! I just couldn't pass it up, and hopefully I made a good choice. Its in good shape for 45 years old! Maintenance issues now to get her road ready. If I could figure out how to post a pic I would. I did manage one when I joined s/s but I can't seem to find that link again! I worked...
Thanks! Its in the shop having oils changed, belts, radiator fluids, and r/r brake cylinder replaced. Hoping to get her home next week. I have a cab heater to install and new (old) seats when she gets here. Not sure how to post a pic. It seems confusing!
I'm a new owner of a 1970 GM M35A2 Deuce and saw that there was a chapter of members out here on the West coast. My name's Mike and I live in Dallas Oregon. Anyone out here that's close would like to talk a bit about what all you do and gatherings etc.
Question.......What do you figure is a reasonable cost to service the M35A2 ( All fluids, flush radiator, new belts, hoses, filters, brakes) fully the first time? Throw in parts for say a grand. Thanks!
